Swiss startup FLOWIT, which has developed an AI-based digital coach, has closed a €4.2 million seed funding round. The oversubscribed round was co-led by Vi Partners and Alstin Capital, funds of Carsten Maschmeyer, with participation from Daniel Gutenberg.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as its development efforts. It also plans to grow its team from 20 to 50 employees by the end of next year.
Gaetano Zanon, from Vi Partners, said: “We are excited to co-lead FLOWIT’s first institutional funding round. FLOWIT’s generative AI-powered platform offers innovative solutions for the 80% of the global workforce without desks. The founding team, led by Bilâl and Yasemin Tahris, combines passion with extensive industry experience and has already achieved significant success with large companies in Switzerland and Europe.”
What change does it bring?
Traditional employee development often overlooks access to real-time development and feedback, especially for frontline employees, including service technicians, hospitality staff, healthcare workers, and other non-desk staff.
FLOWIT addresses this gap by supporting both companies and employees in their everyday work with feedback and learning processes. With this, the company enhances employee engagement.
What does FLOWIT do?
Founded in 2020 by Dr. Yasemin Tahrism, Bilâl Tahris, Hosam Shahin and Stephan Müller, FLOWIT aims to boost employee engagement and business success through its intuitive HR software.
The platform helps with staff development and provides real-time feedback to all employees, including those who work remotely. By easing the struggle for the HR and leadership teams, the company lets them focus on fostering a healthy work environment.
Gaetano Zanon, Vi Partners said: “We are excited to co-lead FLOWIT’s first institutional funding round. FLOWIT’s generative AI-powered platform offers innovative solutions for the 80 per cent of the global workforce without desks.”
Alexander Meyer-Scharenberg, Alstin Capital, shared: “Germany is one of the countries in the world with the greatest labour shortage. Filling vacancies and retaining good employees is a huge challenge for HR departments, as every employee turnover costs the company a lot of money. This is exactly where FLOWIT comes in, providing the often forgotten non-desktop employees with an AI-based digital coach that reduces employee turnover by up to 50 per cent.”
