Stockholm, the unicorn capital, is gearing up for its biggest stage yet. On 11th and 12th February 2026, more than 12,000 founders, investors, policymakers, and global business leaders will gather at Stockholm’s national stadium for Techarena 2026, the Nordics’ flagship tech and business event. Grab your 60% off ticket here for early access to launch deals before general sales begin on September 24, 2025. The offer ends midnight on October 2, 2025!

With Stockholm minting unicorns such as AI coding startup Lovable and fintech giant Klarna, Techarena 2026 arrives at a pivotal point in Europe’s innovation story.

Omid Ekhlasi, founder and CEO of Techarena, tells TFN, “Whether you’re three co-founders or a five-person startup team, we’ve structured ticket packages to make it easier to bring your whole team, because the value multiplies when you network together.”

What to expect?

Techarena brings together a diverse mix of early-stage startups, scale-ups, and established global brands for two days full of networking, trend insights, deal-making, and investment opportunities.

Highlights for the 2026 event include:

  • Curated networking and matchmaking sessions designed to connect the right people
  • Four stages hosting more than 350 speakers with keynotes, panels, and live pitch competitions
  • Over 150 side events, workshops, and private sessions focused on emerging technologies and business strategies
  • Deep dives into breakthrough trends ranging from artificial intelligence to deeptech, cleantech, medtech and many more.
  • Access to a broad investor base, including over 1,500 active investors and 200 limited partners

An Investor Day on February 10 will precede the main conference, creating dedicated opportunities for startups and investors to engage early. The four main stages will feature specialised programming around AI, scaling businesses, investing, and leadership to provide a comprehensive and tailored experience.

Previous speakers include Steve Wozniak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, entrepreneur Richard Branson, and political leaders such as Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

New era, next mindset

In 2026, the theme will be “New Era, Next Mindset,” which captures the transformative moment as traditional business models undergo disruption and new opportunities arise across sectors.

Ekhlasi reflects: “We started 12 years ago to help research-heavy companies turn their scientific breakthroughs into market-ready products. What began as a small business group investing in hard-to-market sectors quickly revealed the real challenge – bridging the gap to commercialisation. That’s why we launched an entrepreneurship competition. Even with a tiny first audience, it delivered outsized value by connecting startups with investors and industry leaders, proving the power of networking and collaboration.”

On this year’s theme, he adds: “New Era, Next Mindset’ speaks to disruption at every level. For individuals, rapid technological advances demand new ways of working and consuming. For corporates, it means reinventing business models to unlock growth. And at a geopolitical level, especially here in Europe, it requires rethinking supply chains and partnerships to drive economic resilience and seize emerging opportunities.”

Reflecting on Techarena 2025

The previous edition highlighted Techarena’s exponential growth and international reach:

  • 40% of attendees were startup and scale-up founders and operators
  • 15% represented venture capital and angel investor networks
  • Nearly one-third of attendees came from outside the Nordic region, showcasing global appeal

Techarena has invested over $3 million in accelerator programs, competitions like the Techarena Challenge and TOP46, international delegations, and strategic networking initiatives. In the last 12 months, these efforts engaged more than 18,000 founders, investors, and corporate leaders, resulting in successful pilot projects, funding rounds, and meaningful partnerships.

The organisation itself has rapidly expanded, reporting a 600% increase in revenue over the past three years. A recent 12 million SEK investment from Stockholm-based VC BackingMinds will further boost Techarena’s international reach and impact across Europe.

“What began as a small gathering in a Stockholm cinema with just eight attendees has grown into Scandinavia’s largest innovation event, now welcoming 18,000 participants from more than 120 countries each year,” Ekhlasi reflects.
