A Dutch climate tech IoT scaleup specialising in smart monitoring solutions for industry, Sensorfact, has snapped €25 million funding. The round was led by the European growth investor Blume Equity, which backed Aerones, with participation from existing investors FORWARD.one, Korys, and SET Ventures. This round follows the €13 million investment that the company secured back in early 2022.

The investment will propel Sensorfact’s mission to enable a more efficient and sustainable industry through improving resource efficiency and machine uptime. Also, the funds will be allocated towards entering new markets and optimising its current product suite, expanding the range of resource categories measured.. With this investment, Sensorfact will be able to serve industrial businesses on a global scale.

CEO Pieter Broekema said, “While proud of our accomplishments so far, we are committed to broadening and deepening our product portfolio, continuously creating innovative solutions that tackle industrial waste throughout the entire production process. We aim to venture into new markets, enabling companies worldwide to monitor their production processes and achieve savings. We are delighted to be partnering with Pieter and team on this next exciting stage of Sensorfact’s scale-up journey, supporting them on their continued geographic and product expansion”

Makes sustainability understandable

Founded by Pieter Broekema in 2016 in Utrecht, Sensorfact provides an all-in-one, self-install, easy to use and cost effective solution that enables manufacturers to significantly improve resource efficiency and machine uptime through smart monitoring of electricity, gas, water, and compressed air usage, and prediction of maintenance needs. This contributes to the optimisation of operations, resource efficiency, and the achievement of sustainability goals.

The core USP is in the smart algorithms and productivity enablement tools the company uses to translate the data into actionable insights, with Sensorfact also providing the IoT hardware needed for the measurements.

The company offers smart energy savings in the manufacturing industry. It is a smart advisor for the industry and translates sustainability to day-to-day language and specific actions without any complex sensor technology, software and business models. It makes sustainability understandable and transparant.
