Tel Aviv-headquartered Superfy, an AI-powered social networking platform catering to Gen Z, has raised $2.2 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $6.7 million. Participants in the funding round include a range of prominent angel investors from the consumer tech industry, including Alon Matas, founder of BetterHelp, Nir Greenberg, founder of Natural Intelligence and the founders of Ilyon, which was acquired by Tencent-owned Miniclip.

With this investment, Superfy is poised to disrupt the social media landscape and redefine how the next generation connects and engages online.

Revolutionises online interactions

At the forefront of Superfy’s digital revolution is its latest feature release: Super Groups. This addition allows multiple users to be instantly connected and able to converse on relevant subjects, fostering engaging and dynamic discussions in real-time. The company’s research shows that the launch of the new Groups function has significantly improved the app’s overall performance.

Super Groups is set to revolutionise the way Gen Z interacts online. Whether discussing shared interests, exploring new ideas, or seeking advice, users can now connect with like-minded individuals effortlessly. From niche hobbies to global issues, Superfy’s Super Groups provide a space for authentic conversations to thrive.

AI-powered Gen Z social platform

Superfy was founded in 2019 by Michal Tamir and Gil Schoenberg. Using patented AI, it connects users with real people who can provide the answers, advice, and recommendations you need. They can discuss anything on their mind and get real-time responses, tips, and more, in a live chat, in just 20 seconds.

Superfy has over 500K registered users that spend an average of 40 minutes per day on the app, surpassing legacy apps such as Snap, Instagram, and X in terms of engagement. More than 20 million messages are currently sent through the app per month, and the user base is largely 18–21-year-olds across the US, UK, and Canada.

“Superfy is not just a social network; it’s a community-driven platform designed to empower Gen Z”, said Michal Tamir, Founder and CEO of Superfy. “With Super Groups, we’re breaking down barriers and facilitating meaningful conversations between people, creating an environment where every voice is heard and valued.”

“Superfy’s innovation and growth are game changers for social networking,” said Alon Matas, Founder of BetterHelp and an investor in Superfy. “It’s positioned to empower Gen Z and shape a new breed of digital communities.”
