In the current workplace, teams are overwhelmed with workplace noise — tool notifications, Slack Channel lurking to ensure they don’t miss the relevant context, and reply-all email culture, among others.

Early N26 employees founded Spoke. ai-powered by AI to decrease information overload and create a context for work.

To grow its platform, the Berlin-based Spoke.ai raised €2M in a pre-seed round led by byFounders (also backed Supernormal), with participation from Possible Ventures and a syndicate of experienced operators.

The German firm will also use the funds to onboard the 500+ companies from the waiting list to the Beta version.

Solving information overload

Founded by Jack Lancaster, Carl, and Max Brenssell, Spoke.ai solves the information overload problem in the workplace.

The company does this by leveraging generative AI to aggregate, prioritise, and summarise information, cutting through the noise to create context.

Max Brenssell, Spoke.ai Co-Founder said: “Modern teams are working with a growing number of specialised SaaS tools, but are drowning in the noise created by conversations and content stretched across all these. Generative AI has the power to cut through this noise to create the context we’re all missing.”

The company integrates the suite with a tool stack (Slack, Jira, Github, Miro, Figma, and Notion) across a couple of areas:

Smart Inbox & Outbox: Prioritise and summarise notifications across tools to reach inbox zero faster than ever without missing anything

Generative Knowledge Base: Semantic search that connects tickets, documents, and conversations across tools to provide an always up-to-date source of truth in summarised form.

Casper Bjarnason, Investor at byFounders: “The new era of work requires a new era of tools. When we first met the founding team we were blown away by their product vision. We’re so excited to partner with Max, Jack, and Carl on their journey ahead!”

Spoke.ai promises to launch the Slack summarisation app in open Beta this week.

Further, the company claims that early users from 20+ companies reported that its platform saved up to 40 minutes per day, by summarising complicated discussions across channels.

Spoke.ai’s full investors include byFounders, Possible Ventures, founders, and experienced operators from companies like N26, Frontier Car Group, SumUp, Twilio, Hive Technologies, Finmid as well as the European Union (EFRE), and City of Berlin.
