As AI reshapes industries, people management is still one of the toughest challenges for modern businesses. That’s the problem Shapes, previously known as DreamTeam, wants to solve. It’s the platform that replaces disjointed HR stacks with a single adaptive system that automates everything from onboarding and performance management to payroll and compensation.
“While most HR tools were built for predictability and permanence, we’re building for constant change. Every company has its own rhythm, and our platform adapts to it: it moulds itself around the organisation, not the other way around,” said Arnon Nir, co-founder and CEO of
Shapes. “
This Tel Aviv–based startup has raised $24 million in combined seed and Series A funding to introduce what it calls the world’s first AI PeopleOS that helps organisations adapt their HR, IT, and Finance operations in real time.
The latest round was led by Entrée Capital, with participation from NFX and F2 Venture Capital, which led the Seed.
Building a living operating system for people
Arnon Nir (CEO) and Shirley Baumer (CPO), both founding team members at monday.com, observed that traditional HR tools struggled to keep pace with rapid change. That led them to reimagine people management from the ground up.
Shapes is designed to reposition people operations as a company’s dynamic core. Its goal is to make every process, from hiring to retention, part of a system that learns and evolves with the workforce it serves.
Instead of relying on fixed modules, Shapes runs as an extensible operating system. Organisations can select only the tools they need, or build new apps and AI agents through the company’s SDK, customising every layer to fit their internal structure and culture.
This flexibility transforms Shapes into a platform that moves in sync with each business. An employee can request time off, check policies, or chat with an AI agent in seconds, while HR teams can set up performance reviews, track engagement, or generate insights, without switching systems. Because it’s AI-native, PeopleOS learns how each organisation operates and adapts accordingly.
That learning capability gives Shapes an edge against legacy providers and modern HR platforms like HiBob, Rippling, and Gusto, which still rely on more static logic.
What’s next?
Shapes already counts hundreds of customers across 79 countries and 14 industries, including Quantum Machines, NextSilicon, Healthee, Arena Entertainment, and Imagen. With its new funding, the company plans to double its headcount within the next year and expand further across Europe and North America to meet rising demand.
“The PeopleOS category is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine how organisations operate in the AI era. Shapes’ founding team’s experience in building scalable, intuitive enterprise platforms gives them a real advantage in leading a multi-billion-dollar market that remains fragmented and without a global leader,” said Yoni Osherov, General Partner at Entrée Capital and the former monday.com CRO.
