Refold AI, a Bengaluru- and San Mateo-based startup, just scored $6.5M in pre-seed and seed funding to turbocharge its vision of killing off the enterprise system integrator as we know it. The company is betting that its “AI-native system integrator, ”a platform that deploys smart agents to write, test, and maintain complex integrations autonomously, can take the pain (and invoices) out of enterprise software glue work.
For anyone who’s wasted weeks and six figures wrangling SAP or wrestling clunky data pipelines, Refold’s mission is simple: put senior consultant skills into code you can deploy at the push of a button. The founding team, led by CEO Jugal Anchalia, built Refold after surviving the quagmire of ERP disasters and emerged determined to automate away human consultants entirely.
The platform runs AI agents that do what used to require armies of billable-hours contractors: generating integration workflows, mapping complex data, and auto-healing when something inevitably breaks. Deployed in finance, supply chain, and BI, Refold’s system already shows it can collapse multimonth projects into mere days.
Refold AI agents take centre stage in enterprise workflows
Refold’s platform targets the friction and expense of enterprise integrations, a market long dominated by global consulting firms and low code iPaaS tools. It delivers three layers of AI system integration: Workflow Code Agents for engineering teams, MCP Chains for business users and AI developers, and an Embedded Integrations Platform for SaaS providers. Unlike legacy tools, Refold’s approach removes humans from the loop, packaging the expertise of senior consultants into scalable software agents.
The technology has already been deployed in finance, supply chain, and business intelligence settings. For example, Refold automated reconciliation between expense reports and accounts payable, integrated multiple order and inventory systems to improve forecasting, and built reverse ETL workflows to feed analytics dashboards with near real-time data. Tasks that once took months were completed in days.
Founders bring prior success and enterprise software experience
Anchalia and co-founder Abhishek Kumar know the pain firsthand—they sold their last startup to Reliance, and previously managed large-scale digital transformations. After raising a $1.2M pre-seed and a subsequent $5.3M seed led by Eniac, Tidal, Ahead, and Karman (plus backing from Innovaccer’s founders and other angels), Refold projects reaching $4M-$5M ARR by end of 2025 with current annual recurring revenue already in the low seven figures. Gross margins are a healthy 75%-78%, giving the company a generous 24-month runway.
Refold competes with platforms such as Mulesoft, Boomi, and Workato, as well as global consultancies including Accenture and Infosys. It differentiates itself by being code-first rather than low-code, using agents to write custom logic in context, and billing by outcome rather than hours. The company claims to replace “300,000 consultants with 3,000 lines of code.”
Scaling up for the next stage
With a team expected to hit 30 by year-end, Refold’s already powering integrations for over 30 enterprises, including Incorta and Naehas, with 1,500+ active users and a staggering 30M API calls per month. The vision: be the ambient infrastructure binding high-quality data to every AI workflow in tomorrow’s enterprise stack.
The days of “waiting for the consultant to show up” may be numbered. Refold AI wants to make enterprise integrations as seamless as spinning up another cloud resource.
