Anecdotes, claimed to be the only data-driven Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform tailored for enterprise operations, has closed the second tranche of its expanded Series B round, securing an additional $30 million. This brings the round’s total to $55 million, and its total capital raised to $85 million. The latest funding was led by DTCP, following a previous $25 million round led by Glilot Capital with contributions from Vertex and Red Dot.
The company stated to TFN that, it will use this capital to accelerate the development of its AI-powered GRC automation solutions, expand its global go-to-market strategy, and strengthen strategic alliances with leading industry partners, including the Big Four firms, Coalfire, Schellman, and Google Cloud. The funding will also support the expansion of Anecdotes’ Managed Service Provider (MSP) program, making its innovative GRC solutions more accessible to businesses worldwide.
Why is Enterprise GRC at a breaking point? The answer is simple.
The GRC landscape is undergoing a radical transformation. Regulatory pressures are rising, from dynamic global data privacy laws to fast-evolving AI regulations, while cybersecurity threats continue to escalate. Traditional GRC tools, often reliant on disconnected and manual processes, have proven inadequate for managing the scale and complexity of modern business needs. This inflection point is driving enterprises to demand smarter, more scalable solutions.
This growing market demand is fueling a shift toward structured, actionable GRC data and Anecdotes is leading that transformation by redefining how enterprises collect, structure, and operationalise GRC data, eliminating inefficiencies and making complex GRC programs more scalable. This latest investment underscores Anecdotes’ momentum as the company continues to transform enterprise GRC by automating workflows and delivering structured, credible, and actionable data that powers every GRC operation.
Who is behind the company?
Anecdotes was founded by Yair Kuznitsov and Roi Amior in 2020. Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, the company has R&D offices in Tel Aviv, Israel.
After building and managing teams in different units across the IDF Intelligence Corps, Yair became the head of the hardcore R&D section of the IDF’s elite 8200 unit. After leaving the army, he led the Innovation Group at Insight, where he successfully brought new products into a highly competitive market.
‘Roi is a seasoned Chief Product Officer with over a decade of leading successful Product Management teams in startups and enterprises. He started in the IDF’s elite 8200 unit and then joined Verint, where he led Product Development and Go-To-Market. He is a sought-after lecturer on the topic of product development. In 2020, after establishing Product Teams at two successful startups, he set out to transform the world of GRC together with Yair.
How was the idea born?
While they do not come from the GRC world, before founding Anecdotes, the founders felt firsthand the pain of being pulled away from their work, hours at a time, to provide their GRC teams evidence for audits. Like many other stakeholders in their organisation, they would need to take screenshots and pull logs, wasting hours at a time. Their vision for Anecdotes came from how inefficient, repetitive, and frustrating they found the process to be, especially in comparison to the adjacent cybersecurity space.
Anecdotes was created to transform the way enterprise GRC is done by empowering GRC practitioners with something they’ve never had before: actionable data and AI agents, saving them time and effort they can use on what really matters.
Eliminating inefficiencies caused by siloed systems and manual tracking
At the heart of Anecdotes’ success is its GRC Data Engine, which eliminates inefficiencies caused by siloed systems and manual tracking. Instead of fragmented evidence trails and retroactive audits, it offers a proactive, structured, and automated approach to GRC. The platform continuously collects and operationalises compliance data, enabling real-time visibility, AI insights, and audit-readiness at any moment.
While other solutions focus on helping startups pass audits, Anecdotes is focused on solving the complexity GRC teams at enterprises face and empowering them to better manage and scale their GRC programs.
Unlike solutions that only supply customers with static evidence, Anecdotes continuously, and automatically, collects raw systems data from the organisation’s tech stack and standardises it for use in GRC, while maintaining its integrity. That data, combined with unique AI gents and analysis tools that automatically notify users of gaps in their program, allow them to identify risks, and strengthen and scale their GRC program with ease.
It was built with GRC practitioners in mind, featuring enterprise level scoping and customization as well as proprietary integrations with over 200 in-house built plugins (no 3rd party API).
Anecdotes’ Compliance OS has become the platform of choice for enterprises across North America, Europe, and beyond, including companies such as Snowflake, SoFi and Well Health. By leveraging Anecdotes, these organisations have fundamentally shifted how they approach GRC operations. As per the company, it competes against US companies – Hyperproof and ServiceNow.
