Sola Security, an Israeli self-serve cybersecurity platform designed to simplify security tool deployment, has officially launched from stealth with a $30 million seed round. The funding was led by S Capital and veteran investor Mike Moritz, with participation from S32, Glilot Capital Partners, and prominent angel investors.
The startup aims to transform cybersecurity by enabling professionals to build and deploy security solutions without requiring extensive technical expertise. The company plans to accelerate product development and grow its customer base.
Addressing cybersecurity’s complexity crisis
Founded in 2024 by cybersecurity veterans Guy Flechter and Ron Peled, Sola Security was established to tackle the inefficiencies plaguing modern security teams. Flechter, former CEO & Co-Founder of Cider Security (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), and Peled, former Global CISO of LivePerson, identified a common problem: organisations struggle with managing numerous siloed security tools that require significant engineering resources.
Many businesses rely on up to 50 separate security solutions, each with its own interface, pricing model, and maintenance requirements. This fragmented approach not only drains budgets but also creates security gaps and operational inefficiencies. Smaller teams and solo security professionals are particularly disadvantaged, lacking the resources to maintain an enterprise-grade security stack.
Sola Security aims to change this by providing a platform that simplifies security tool creation and integration.
The power of no-code and AI in cybersecurity
Sola Security’s platform allows organisations to build and deploy security applications with minimal effort. Users can choose from pre-built security tools in the Sola App Gallery or use the AI-powered no-code studio to create custom solutions. This approach eliminates the need for dedicated security engineers, enabling any security professional to design, implement, and refine security measures on demand.
The platform’s key features include:
- No-code studio: Users can build custom security tools without writing complex code.
- AI-powered builder: AI assists in creating and optimising security workflows based on natural language inputs.
- Sola app gallery: marketplace of ready-made security solutions that can be deployed instantly.
- Collaboration features: Teams can work together to design, test, and improve security processes.
By reducing reliance on multiple security vendors and simplifying deployment, Sola Security helps organisations cut costs and improve efficiency.
Democratises cybersecurity for all
Sola Security’s mission is to make cybersecurity accessible to organisations of all sizes. By removing technical barriers and providing a cost-effective, flexible solution, the company empowers security teams to take full control of their defence strategies. This democratisation of cybersecurity aligns with the broader industry shift toward automation and accessibility, allowing security professionals to respond to threats faster and more effectively.
With its $30 million in seed funding, Sola Security aims to disrupt the cybersecurity landscape. As cybersecurity threats evolve, Sola Security’s approach could redefine how businesses protect themselves, offering a streamlined, cost-effective alternative to the bloated security stacks of today.
“Cybersecurity shouldn’t be this hard or expensive. That’s the challenge Sola Security is here to solve,” said Guy Flechter, CEO & Co-Founder of Sola Security. “We see ourselves as part of the self-serve revolution created by giants such as Canva, Stripe, and Figma, who changed the way we work in their domains. Security tools today are either too narrow to solve real problems or too bloated to be usable, and we knew there had to be a better way. Sola Security lets any team create and customise security solutions instantly, without the overhead, without the engineering burden, and without the ridiculous price tag.”
“Sola isn’t just building another security solution, it’s transforming how security teams think and operate,” said Aya Peterburg, Co-founder and Managing Partner at S Capital. “By making security more accessible, adaptable, and aligned with real-world challenges, Sola is driving a much-needed shift in the cybersecurity industry. With a visionary team at the helm and a product that meets an urgent market need, we’re thrilled to be part of their journey.”
“It’s rare to come across something truly refreshing in tech, but Sola Security is exactly that – a breath of fresh air,” said Michael Moritz, former Chairman of Sequoia Capital and investor in Sola. “Sola has embraced an audacious approach that will help make it easier for developers to plug the holes that riddle any security architecture. Right now Sola’s designs are bold, adventurous and desperately needed. But ten years from now security experts will wonder how they ever lived without Sola.”
