Social engineering attacks fueled by AI, such as deepfakes, fake voice calls, deceptive messages, and custom phishing, have increased by 1,200% since ChatGPT entered the market, according to the World Economic Forum. That’s led to more than $1 trillion in damages last year alone.

Zepo Intelligence offers a smart platform that runs realistic AI attack simulations, identifies weak links in your team’s behaviour, and provides tailored training and real-time alerts. It monitors all online workspaces, preventing threats from becoming leaks or wire fraud.

The company closed a $15 million seed round led by Kibo Ventures, eCAPITAL, and TIN Capital to expand the team and roll out their tech worldwide.

Redefining human-centric security

Zepo was founded by two Spanish engineers and serial entrepreneurs, Antonio Muñoz and Enrique Holgado, to bridge the gap left by outdated tools as AI transforms social engineering into society’s biggest security challenge.

“Artificial Intelligence has turned social engineering into one of the biggest challenges society faces today. As attackers have exploited generative AI and moved to multi-vector personalised attacks on employees, traditional cybersecurity, focused on isolated training tools and email filters, no longer provides the needed protection. Zepo responds to this gap by leading Agentic Social Intelligence for Workspace Security,” explains Muñoz.

Zepo’s platform stands out with agentic AI that goes beyond simulations: it combines real-time threat detection, personalised training, and human risk analytics into a holistic system that protects employees across channels such as email, calls, and messaging apps.

“Just before a message turns into a transfer, a credential leak, or a breach. The result is a unified, proactive layer that helps protect employees across the channels where modern work actually happens”, highlights Muñoz.

Unlike competitors such as KnowBe4 or Proofpoint, Zepo integrates live detection with human-centric AI to create a proactive workspace layer. It has earned global recognition, including selection by Google (one of 15 top AI/cybersecurity startups), CrowdStrike, NVIDIA, and Amazon accelerators.

    What’s next?

With 5x year-over-year revenue growth and trust from global enterprises, Zepo will use the $15M to launch a hiring push in data engineering and AI. Over the next 18 months, it aims to expand operations in Europe and the US, scaling its platform worldwide.

Javier Torremocha, co-founder and Managing Partner at Kibo Ventures, added, “AI-driven attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and frequent, necessitating tools like those offered by Zepo. The sophistication of Zepo’s solution, combined with its ease of use and customer service, is winning over top-tier enterprises.”

TFN contacted Zepo for comment regarding diversity and inclusion; no response was received at the time of publication.
