As companies expand internationally, keeping pace with complex and fast-changing tax regulations has become one of the toughest challenges for growing businesses. London-based Yonda Tax has built a platform that automates global tax compliance from registration through filing, making it easier for companies to scale without fear of non-compliance with local authorities.

Today, Yonda has raised £11 million in its first institutional funding round, led by Kennet Partners with participation from NYO Capital and Portfolio Ventures. The new capital will fuel product expansion, entry into new markets, and an acceleration of its global growth.

Making expanding internationally as simple as operating at home

Founded in 2022 by Ben Seider, Gareth Kobrin, and Sean O’Reilly (who left the company this May), Yonda aims to remove the friction and fear of global tax compliance for modern companies.

Gareth Kobrin, Co-Founder of Yonda Tax, said: “We started Yonda after seeing founders do everything right, yet still get tripped up by the nightmare of international tax. So we built Yonda as the partner we wish they’d always had, leveraging decades of accountancy expertise to create a personal, highly accurate technology that takes tax off their plate so they can focus on building.”

Technologically speaking, Yonda takes a “tax-first, tech-second” approach. Every layer of automation is grounded in real human expertise, ensuring accuracy as regulations evolve. That blend of technical capability and tax experience has drawn more than 350 clients worldwide, including Shopify merchants, fast-growing SaaS platforms, and AI startups.

Ben and Gareth told TFN, “Yonda Tax provides an integrated solution that works across tax jurisdictions, designed by tax experts, not tech people. Yonda Tax is a sleek full-stack tax solution, intuitive enough that it can be used by people who have not dealt with taxes before, providing a service, not just a faceless tax interface. “

Unlike Avalara, Numeral, Zamp and Anrock, the company offers a flat monthly subscription based on the number of regions where a client files taxes.

What’s next?

Ben and Gareth concluded, “A key priority is the deep integration of AI across our product suite to significantly simplify workflows for clients, driving down their operational costs. We are also set to launch our specialised tax calculation tool, which will directly empower fintech companies to embed a global tax engine into their existing technology stacks.”

They added, “To cater to the dynamic and evolving global tax compliance landscape, Yonda will expand into new geographic regions, adding enhanced filing functionality specific to those markets. Finally, a cornerstone of our strategy is to forge strategic partnerships with major financial firms worldwide to power their offerings, ensuring their clients benefit from an integrated indirect tax compliance experience.”

Hillel Zidel, Managing Director of Kennet Partners said: “Yonda Tax is an exceptionally promising business, combining a clear market need with an experienced team and a product that solves a complex global challenge. Unlike many competitors who take a “tech first” approach, Yonda positions itself as a “tax-first, tech-second” company, a genuine partner rather than a cold SaaS product. That combination breeds accuracy and trust that stands out in this space, and it’s why we are proud to be their first institutional investor and to support their next stage of global expansion.”

TFN contacted Yonda Tax for comment regarding diversity and inclusion; no response was received at the time of publication.
