More than 7,000 dentists leave the profession every year, yet no one talks about this. The reasons cited usually revolve around burnout, trust, and admin work. The true reason, however, is the outdated tech that takes lots of time. In fact, dentists spend more time on paperwork rather than on patient care. To fix this, Trust AI emerged from stealth to rebuild the dentistry infrastructure.
Earlier this week, Trust AI raised $6M from Wehrle Implant Immersion Center, Goetze Dental, Rockwood Programs, and a group of dentists representing over $100 million in practice revenues. Investors themselves understand firsthand what the industry needs most.

A shared frustration turned into a radical solution
Dr. Bernard Casse (CEO and AI entrepreneur), Dr. Divian Patel (clinical founder and multi-site dental practice owner), and Dr. Shervin Molayem (periodontist and dental tech advocate) share the experience in hands-on care adn deep tech innovation. The spark for the Trust AI sparked when Dr. Casse demonstrated an early AI receptionist, prompting Dr. Patel to ask, “Forget the receptionist, can we make this clinically intelligent?”
“We laid out the real problems: dentists making decisions in isolation, patients not trusting recommendations, insurance companies denying everything. The question became: could we build an AI that understands dentistry, not just processes it?” recall Trust AI co-founders.
After months of collaboration, they did just that. The result: Isaac, the world’s first dental-specialised large language model, continuously refined by clinical experts, now used daily by over 3,000 dentists without a cent spent on marketing.
Now, Trust AI’s founding team, says Dr. Casse, brings together perspectives from Silicon Valley to the NHS. “We’ve optimised for diversity of expertise, not just résumé checkboxes. That’s how we’ve built something that works for US and UK dentists, generalists and specialists alike. When you’re rebuilding an industry from scratch, you need every viewpoint at the table.”
Traction tells the story
Trust AI’s current valuation isn’t formally set, as the $6 million seed was closed on SAFE notes. But Trust AI co-founders note, “We had to turn away investors. The round was oversubscribed in just 45 days, which surprised even us. But the real story isn’t valuation. It’s that 3,000+ dentists are already using our platform, all through word of mouth. When dentists text each other screenshots of our AI solving cases at 11 pm, that’s the validation that matters. The funding just lets us build faster.”
Each new practice using Isaac feeds real-world cases to the system, giving Trust AI a growing technological lead. “Every dentist knows this: your treatment plan gets questioned, insurance denies claims you know are valid, you spend hours on documentation instead of care. That’s why the profession’s haemorrhaging talent. Trust AI fixes it at the root,” say Trust AI co-founders.
What makes Isaac stand out?
Unlike competitors using generic AI for healthcare add-ons, Isaac is trained from day one on millions of pages of dental literature and real specialist cases. “Other solutions stitch together point apps for charting, notes, or billing, all fighting for your attention, with outdated machine learning behind them. We’re building something fundamentally different: one AI brain, Isaac, trained exclusively on dental knowledge, that handles everything: clinical thinking, admin, insurance, and treatment planning,” explain Trust AI co-founders to TFN.
What really sets Trust AI apart is its continuous feedback loop. Teams of dental specialists and AI evaluators review Isaac’s interactions every day, teaching it to catch ever more subtle nuances in patient care. That specialist focus is crucial.
“Our AI understands the difference between treating peri-implantitis or identifying rare oral lesions, not because it’s read a Wikipedia article, but because it’s sifted through authentic clinical protocols and been reviewed by experts like us,” Trust AI co-founders emphasise.
What’s next for Trust AI?
Trust AI’s leaders see the technology not as a threat, but as a lifeline, restoring trust, reducing admin burden, and helping practitioners do what drew them to dentistry in the first place: care for patients.
By 2026, Isaac will be the industry’s first AI-native practice management system, automating everything from notes to insurance. By year five, dental students won’t even learn the “old way”; Isaac will be their digital backbone. Insurance companies will accept Isaac-verified plans instantly. Patients will expect to see AI in their treatment workflow, just like they expect digital X-rays today.
