Singapore-based B2B sales productivity startup, Nektar.ai just made a record with the biggest total seed round for a B2B SaaS startup in the US-Asia corridor.
The firm raised additional $6 million seed funding which was led by B Capital Group, 3one4 Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. At the same time, some prominent market leaders from the US-Asia cross border SaaS ecosystem also invested in the round.
Adding the $2.15 million of November 2020 funding, , the company has raised $8.1 million seed funding in total so far.
Founded in 2020 by Abhijeet Vijayvergiya and Aravind Ravi Sulekha, the company has been in stealth mode so far, working with select customers in private beta. The tech startup plans to launch officially, available to all, in the first half of 2022.
Basically, their AI-powered guided selling solution sits adjacent to CRM systems like Salesforce. It takes buyer/seller data scattered across sources such as email, Web Conference, Calendar, and communication tools like CRM, Linkedin, Slack, and WhatsApp to present timely insights on leading indicators. These insights also surface into workflow tools like Slack, Zoom, email, and Microsoft Teams for seamless collaboration across customer-facing revenue teams.
Meanwhile, the company intends to use the latest funding to augment research & development, develop new products and engineering functions and build a strong team focused on launching in the US market.
