Berlin‑based Midas, an on‑chain investment platform, has raised $50M in Series A funding led by RRE Ventures and Creandum, with participation from  Framework Ventures, HV Capital, Ledger Cathay, North Island Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Franklin Templeton, GSR, and other institutional and crypto‑native investors.

The round brings Midas’ total capital raised to around $58.75M and positions it as a key infrastructure layer for tokenised real‑world assets.

Midas was co‑founded in 2023 by Dennis DinkelmeyerFabrice Grinda, and Romain Bourgois, each bringing deep experience in fintech, venture, and capital‑markets infrastructure. The founders are positioning Midas as a differentiated liquidity and issuance layer relative to general‑purpose RWA or DeFi lenders, with a tight focus on instant‑redemption, yield‑ and fund‑backed tokens rather than protocol‑native lending or trading venues.

Its mTokens platform has now minted over $1.7B in tokenised assets, paid more than $37M in yield to investors, and attracted 20,000+ holders with TVL exceeding $500M across integrations with DeFi protocols such as Morpho, Curve, and Pendle. Institutional asset managers are also using Midas’ infrastructure to deploy tokenised funds, ETFs, and structured strategies on‑chain.

In the RWAs‑plus‑DeFi space, the startup competes less directly with protocol‑only DeFi lenders (Aave, Compound) and more with RWA‑issuance platforms and DeFi‑native issuers (e.g., Ondo, Tokeny‑style issuers, and on‑chain ETF providers). Its edge lies in the Midas Staked Liquidity (MSL) layer, launched alongside the round, which provides up to $40M in initial liquidity, enabling instant redemptions without settlement or counterparty risk.

Looking ahead, Midas plans to expand its product range into reinsurance‑linked, asset‑receivables‑based, and tokenised‑stock strategies, deepen integrations with Ledger Wallet, and grow its footprint across DeFi as on‑chain RWA adoption accelerates.

The vision, per CEO Dennis Dinkelmeyer, is to make investing work like the internet: open, transparent, composable, and accessible to all, with Midas’ infrastructure at the core of that stack.
