As ethical consumerism and the push for sustainable, authentic living continue to reshape global markets, many growth-stage brands face the same dilemma: how to scale successfully without losing what makes them meaningful. Iris Ventures, the Barcelona-based growth investor, has made that challenge its mission.

Earlier this week, the firm announced the first close of its second fund, IRIS Fund II, securing up to €100 million toward a total target of €200 million. The new fund will back the next generation of consumer brands in beauty, wellness, nutrition, longevity, and conscious living.

Founded in 2021 by investor Montse Suarez, Iris Ventures was built on a belief that innovation doesn’t always come from technology alone. It can also stem from how people live, consume, and care for themselves and the planet.

Suarez’s guiding vision has always been to champion founders who build with purpose: entrepreneurs determined to grow responsibly and shape a more inclusive, regenerative economy. Since its launch, Iris Ventures’ first €100 million fund has supported Olistic, VICIO, Essentialist, Superlativa, Maurten, Healf, and Artemest.

What distinguishes Iris Ventures is its close partnership approach. The firm doesn’t just invest capital; it actively collaborates with founders on scaling, brand strategy, and international growth, drawing on a network of influential European family offices deeply rooted in consumer industries. That hands-on involvement, coupled with patient capital, has helped the firm carve out a strong niche in Europe’s competitive landscape of growth investing.

With IRIS Fund II, the team plans to invest between €5 million and €20 million per company, supporting 12 to 15 scale-ups over the next four years. Around 80 per cent of the fund will go to European companies, with the remainder backing U.S. ventures that align with its purpose-led philosophy.
