Schüttflix, a Gütersloh, Germany-based construction tech startup has secured a whopping €45 million in fresh capital. The new round was led by the founders and existing investors and supplemented by a working capital line. New on board as equity investors with the world’s largest portfolio of Marketplace Startup investments is the New York based VC FJ Labs, DEVK Insurance and various family offices.

As a digital hub for construction site supply and disposal, Schüttflix will use the fresh capital to realise additional growth opportunities in the cooling construction industry.

“The construction industry is under pressure to quickly leverage additional efficiencies. Our func tions such as paperless delivery documentation, live tracking and the upstream price com parison portal make the processes in the value chain for construction companies muchmore efficient. For us, the crisis is therefore above all an opportunity. The additional capitalgives us the necessary drive to make the best possible out of it,” explained Schüttflix CEO Christian Hülsewig.

“As a company from the same region, we are pleased to partner with Schüttflix and jointly digitalise material flows. Schüttflix significantly boosts transparency and efficiency in our traditional business. It’s a showcase for shaping the necessary transformation with courage and dedication. We are happy to support Schüttflix on that journey”, said Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, managing partner of the Goldbeck Group.

“Our area of expertise is marketplace startups because we believe in the technologies we invest in. With Schüttflix in particular, we can support with our know-how and want to put the construction industry on a future course together. In Europe, Schüttflix is the best ad dress for this, as the company has impressively demonstrated since its founding,” added Fabrice Grinda, founding Partner of FJ Labs, about the investment.

Mirco Illian, Managing Director of the new partner IK Umwelt, is also positive about the up coming cooperation: “As experts for waste disposal and recycling, we want to establish a functioning and sustainable circular economy in the construction industry. With Schüttflix, we have found the right partner to digitalise existing logistical processes and close techno logical gaps in the recyclables chain.”

Digital marketplace for bulk construction supplies

Founded by Christian Hülsewig and Thomas Hagedorn in 2018, Schüttflix is the first digital logistics hub for the construction industry. The platform connects construction companies, building material suppliers, waste disposal companies and freight forwarders with each other.

With just a few clicks, contractors can compare prices in the app and order or dispose of bulk goods and transports directly. Instead of being regionally fragmented and intransparent, Schüttflix thus creates for the first time a functioning, efficient market for all common bulk goods in Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.

It also enables its partner haulage companies to optimise route planning, which leads to fewer empty runs and thus more sustainability. In addition, Schüttflix supports construction companies in optimising and digitising their  processes with data for real-time analysis and digital documents (invoices, delivery notes, weighing documents).
