Modern engineering teams are hitting a breaking point. As software systems grow more complex and AI agents take on critical roles, teams are overwhelmed with alerts, logs, and operational decisions.

Traditional monitoring tools, built for a simpler era, are struggling to keep up. That’s the problem Dash0 is trying to solve.

Joins unicorn club

New York– and Berlin-based Dash0 has raised $110M in a Series B round led by Balderton Capital, with participation from DTCP Growth, Accel, Cherry Ventures, DIG Ventures, and strategic investors including Deutsche Telekom’s T.Capital.

The funding values the company at $1B, pushing it into unicorn territory. The latest round brings its total funding to $155M.

Dash0’s Series B funding will focus on four main areas to support its growth plans.

The majority of the investment will enhance the Agent0 platform, increase the number of autonomous agents, speed up engineering development, and allow customers to create their own agents using Dash0’s infrastructure.

A significant part of the funding will also be used for an expansion in the US market, targeting enterprise engineering teams and competing with companies like Datadog and Grafana.

Lastly, the company plans to use the capital to make strategic acquisitions in areas like LLM, agent observability, AI SRE, and AI security to quickly enhance its capabilities.

Agentic Observability platform

Founded in 2023 and led by Mirko Novakovic, Dash0 is the Agentic Observability platform built on OpenTelemetry.

The company offers engineering teams a flexible platform to collect and analyze signals from any technology stack without being tied to specific vendors or dealing with unpredictable costs.

At the core of Dash0’s platform is Agent0, a system of AI agents designed to take action, not just monitor.

These agents can identify the root cause of issues, create dashboards, manage deployments, optimise costs, and even detect security risks in real time.

Instead of waiting for engineers to respond, the platform can act on its own, reducing downtime and operational stress.

Dash0 currentlt serves over 600 customers worldwide, including Zalando, Taco Bell, and The Telegraph.

“We built Dash0 on a conviction that the next generation of production infrastructure couldn’t be held hostage by proprietary data formats and runaway pricing. OpenTelemetry changed the rules, meaning your data belongs to you. Now, with Agent0, we’re taking the next leap: turning that data into action. The $110 million we’re announcing today is how we bring autonomous operations to every engineering team in the world, before our competitors even understand what’s happening to them,” Mirko Novakovic, CEO and Co-Founder, Dash0

Built on open standards

One of Dash0’s key differentiators is its use of OpenTelemetry, an open standard that allows companies to collect and use data from any system.

This means businesses are not locked into a single vendor or forced into expensive pricing models. Instead, they can bring together data from across their infrastructure in one place.

Dash0 says that this approach gives teams more control and flexibility, especially as systems become more complex.

“Dash0 built the infrastructure layer that every AI-driven company will depend on. Mirko and the team combine deep technical credibility with a genuinely differentiated approach. We believe Dash0 will define the next era of production operations,” says Rana Yared, Partner, Balderton

“We’ve watched Dash0 execute with rare precision since day one. Tripling down on this team isn’t a difficult decision; it’s an obvious one. The shift from passive observability to autonomous production operations is one of the defining infrastructure transitions of this decade, and Dash0 is leading it,” says Ross Mason, DIG Ventures.
