Sales teams are often overwhelmed by manual tasks that sap valuable time and energy. From data entry to email follow-ups, these activities can distract from the core mission of closing deals and generating revenue.

Ctrl, a London-based startup, has developed an AI and automation platform that enables sales teams to complete customer-related tasks up to 40% quicker. Ctrl integrates with popular tools such as Salesforce, Hubspot, G Suite, and Slack, consolidating workflows and preventing data scattering or loss. The company has recently raised $9 million in funding led by LocalGlobe and Earlybird, Dig Ventures and Jibe Ventures, together with angel investments from Slack, Intercom, Personio, and Celonis. The funding will be used for expansion and scaling efforts, including launching the full Beta version of the platform.

Ctrl’s platform is based on a customisable workspace that optimizes the end-user experience and streamlines tasks using AI and automation. For example, Ctrl can automatically update CRM records, schedule meetings, send personalized emails, generate proposals, and more.

“We have seen many automations in the back end, but the knowledge worker still sits for hours on the computer, doing repetitive and non-rewarding work, We had both felt this in our own jobs, and thought there had to be a better way.” explained Aviv Nahum, Ctrl’s CTO.

The startup currently operates on a freemium model and has a team of 16 people based in London and Tel Aviv.

The founders of Ctrl

Ctrl was founded in 2021 by Omri Sagzan, 33 and Aviv Nahum, 26. Omri worked in Venture Capital & Acquisitions at Cisco Investments and was part of the Investment Team at Pitango Venture Capital. Aviv is an exploit and security researcher, specializing in applications, penetration testing, and hacking methodologies. They both experienced the pain of time wasted in their day-to-day careers, on things that could be automated to free up time and increasing productivity. They realized there was a huge gap between the potential of technology and the reality of sales workflows. They decided to create a solution that would empower sales teams to work smarter and faster.

Omri Sagzan says,

“We’re thrilled and humbled to see our users spreading the word about our platform to colleagues and friends; It’s been a major factor in our growth so far. As we continue to expand, we’re always looking for ways to improve and add new features that make workflows even better. We’re lucky to have amazing investors and operators supporting us. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.”

Mish Mashkautsan, general partner at LocalGlobe,

“We are delighted to back Omri, Aviv and their talented team. As businesses everywhere look to streamline operations and increase efficiency with minimal investment, using this integrated workspace is a cost-effective and flexible choice.”

Ctrl’s vision is to automate and simplify workflows for knowledge workers across various industries and functions. By leveraging AI and automation, Ctrl aims to free revenue teams from manual tasks and help them focus on what matters most, their customers.
