Warehouses are the backbone of global supply chains, yet outdated inventory management processes create inefficiencies and drive up costs. Robotics and AI-driven automation are transforming this space, enabling real-time monitoring, reducing human error, and optimising logistics operations for a more seamless and efficient future.
UVIONIX, a robotics and automation startup is revolutionising this segment by developing AI-powered autonomous flying robots. Now, the Bulgarian-founded, California-based company has secured a $3.5 million seed investment. The round was led by LAUNCHub Ventures (recently backed GlycanAge and AMPECO), with participation from Hungarian PortfoLion, Romanian Underline Ventures, German Robin Capital, and prominent angel investors. The funding highlights growing confidence in UVIONIX’s innovative approach to real-time inventory monitoring and warehouse automation.
Accelerates product release and market expansion
The fresh capital will enable UVIONIX to accelerate its product release and expand its presence in the US and Europe. The company is actively forging strategic partnerships with major logistics and retail players to scale deployments across multiple industries. Additionally, UVIONIX is expanding its AI and engineering teams in Bulgaria and the US, attracting top-tier talent in AI, robotics, and automation to further develop its cutting-edge solutions.
Founders with expertise in aerospace and AI
Founded by Bulgarian entrepreneurs Boris Iskrev and Stanislav Darmonski in 2024. Boris Iskrev has nearly a decade of aerospace innovation to reshape warehouse automation while Stanislav Darmonski has developed U-Vee, a compact, autonomous flying robot designed to seamlessly navigate warehouse environments. Their combined expertise in robotics, AI, and aerospace engineering has driven UVIONIX’s rapid advancements in autonomous inventory management.
Addresses the warehouse inventory challenge
Inventory management remains a pain point for global supply chains, with manual stock checks leading to errors, inefficiencies, and increased operational costs. Traditional warehouse inventory processes are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to inaccuracies, often causing delays and supply chain disruptions.
UVIONIX tackles this challenge by introducing autonomous, real-time inventory monitoring with unmatched precision. U-Vee’s AI-powered system achieves 99.9% accuracy, eliminating human errors and significantly reducing inventory-related costs.
Can it revolutionise the future of warehouse automation?
By leveraging AI and deep learning, UVIONIX’s Autonomous Inventory Management system creates live digital twins of warehouse spaces, providing instant visibility and transparency into inventory levels. Real-time automation removes the need for manual stock checks, freeing up human workers to focus on higher-value tasks.
With this approach, UVIONIX is set to redefine warehouse operations, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and profitability for logistics and supply chain companies worldwide. As it scales its deployments and expands globally, the company is poised to become a leader in the next generation of warehouse automation.
UVIONIX is solving a major pain point in warehouse operations leading to trillions of dollars in annual losses,” said Raya Yunakova, an investor at LAUNCHub Ventures. “We believe Uvionix’s AI-driven approach is setting a new industry standard. Their technology has the potential to redefine supply chain efficiency, and we’re excited to support their journey.
“This funding is a pivotal step toward realising our vision of making supply chain management smarter, faster, and more transparent,” said Boris Iskrev, CEO of Uvionix. “We are grateful for the trust and support of our investors and excited to deliver a product that we believe will transform the way warehouses operate globally.”
“Logistics and warehousing are adopting new technology at a fast pace, due to AI developments, workforce shortages, and the continuous need for optimisation. The Uvionix team can address these challenges by leveraging its entrepreneurial, and technical experience, and building a best-in-class product for its category,” added Borgan Iordache, GP Underline Ventures
“The adoption of warehouse robotics has reached a critical inflection point. In response to the e-commerce boom of the past decade, warehouses increased capacity and operations. As a result, warehouses are now managing record product flows, making accuracy and efficiency more crucial than ever. To cut through this complexity, modernisation through automated and autonomous solutions is essential. We believe Boris and the Uvionix team, with their deep expertise in drone technology, are uniquely positioned to guide warehouses into the future,” said Daniel Kiss-Kiraly, Principal at PortfoLion.
