Aive raises €12M to automate the future of video post-production

Paris-based Aive, the company behind a new generation of AI-powered video post-production, has raised €12 million in Series A funding. The round was led by global investment firm Invus. The funding will support Aive’s international expansion, technical development, and drive to become the global leader in automated, AI-driven video creation.

From being founded in 2024, Aive has already secured more than €1 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 40 major clients, including Stellantis, LVMH, Clarins, Publicis, and Omnicom. Its platform enables creative teams to generate thousands of variations from a single video in just minutes — adjusting everything from format and length to subtitles and localisation.

“This fundraising will enable us to take a new step in our development and confirm our global ambition,” said Olivier Reynaud, Aive’s CEO and co-founder.

Scaling creativity in a video-first world

Video now accounts for more than 80% of all digital content consumed. But for global brands and agencies, producing content that’s personalised for different platforms, audiences, and formats has created a massive production burden. Nearly half of creative professionals say they spend more than 50% of their time on repetitive adaptation tasks.

Rather than providing just another creative tool, Aive — an acronym of Artificial Intelligence for Video Experience — acts as a creative AI co-pilot that automates video post-production. From a single original video, users can generate versions tailored to specific goals: whether that’s storytelling, performance on TikTok, localisation for Japan, or branding consistency across markets.

Founded by veterans, focused on the future

Aive was founded in 2019 by Olivier Reynaud and Rudy Lellouche.

“The idea for Aive came from an impromptu backstage conversation during an AdTech event in 2017,” they told us. “We were reflecting on our journeys, our shared frustrations with creative tools, and suddenly, we started sketching out a platform that could bring together AI and video creation. That’s when we knew: we were onto something.”

The company also wants to bring its capabilities to a broader audience. While currently focused on creative teams in large organisations, it aims in the future to make its platform more accessible to SMBs and even content creators.

Aive will be showcasing its platform at Viva Technology 2025, Europe’s largest startup and tech event. With fresh funding, growing demand, and a standout client list, Aive is poised to lead a transformation in how video content is created at scale.

“Our mission is simple: enable brands to produce videos more effectively, more quickly, and with a level of security and personalisation to match their challenges,” said Reynaud.

Behind the tech: performance-optimised creative AI

Aive’s product is powered by a proprietary engine called MGT — Multimodal Generative Technology — which combines generative and analytical AI with a deep understanding of visual, textual, and emotional cues. It analyses everything from rhythm and tone to spoken content and on-screen motion.

“Thanks to the convergence of AI Analytics, Generative AI, and our genetic optimisation technology, Aive doesn’t just automate creation: it maximises performance,” said Rudy Lellouche, CPTO and co-founder.

This engine enables a genetic algorithm to generate up to 100,000 variations of a video from a single prompt. It then evaluates these against specific marketing objectives — performance, emotional resonance, brand alignment — and presents the strongest candidate to the user. “We’ve seen our customers achieve up to two-and-a-half times more conversions and an average 30% reduction in cost of acquisition.”

Aive was built for global enterprise

While its technology is cutting-edge, Aive has been built with the realities of global enterprise in mind. The platform is fully secure, hosted in Europe, and designed to integrate into the production workflows of large organisations. It’s already being used to produce everything from ad campaigns and internal videos to trailers and branded content across industries including luxury, FMCG, automotive, and entertainment.

“Aive combines performance, scalability, and creative intelligence in a single platform,” said Benedetto Staccia, Managing Director at lead funder Invus. “We believe in their ability to redefine video production standards on a global scale.”

Momentum with major clients

Adopted by more than 40 international clients in its first year on the market, Aive is already proving its ability to scale. The platform is being used by companies such as LVMH, Meetic, Groupe Seb, and Publicis to accelerate and enhance their content operations. With 15% of current revenues coming from the US, the team has its sights firmly set on global growth.

From a team of 20 across Europe and North America, Aive plans to triple its headcount by the end of 2026, investing heavily in both its engineering and commercial capacity.
