In today’s job market, businesses are overwhelmed by AI-generated applications that often don’t fit the job requirements. Recruiters use AI to write job descriptions, evaluate candidates, and conduct chatbot interviews, which means many qualified applicants never get to talk to a real person.

With around 500 applicants competing for a single job, automated resumes and algorithm-based screening make hiring less efficient and riskier. A bad hire can cost up to 30% of an employee’s first-year salary, including recruiting and onboarding costs, lost productivity, and re-hiring expenses.

Here’s where AINA is built to cut through this noise.

An empathetic AI hiring platform

The Limassol-based startup has created an AI hiring platform that supports both employers and candidates within a single system. Rather than adding automation for its own sake, AINA focuses on improving match quality and accelerating early hiring decisions.

The company has raised $1 million in seed funding from a private angel investor to expand its platform across recruiting, screening, analytics, and candidate coaching. The company will use the new funding to further develop its integrated hiring ecosystem and scale to serve more customers.

One platform for companies and candidates

Founded by Natallia Mikhnovets, AINA is an AI hiring platform that streamlines and reduces recruitment costs by automating 80% of the process. The platform provides clear explanations for its assessments, enabling quicker, fairer decisions with less manual effort.

Mikhnovets tells TFN, “The idea for AINA was sparked by a specific moment in my career: during a period of rapid scaling, a founder told me, ‘If we could hire another you, our hiring problems would be solved.” This highlighted a recurring issue I had observed for years — companies were limited not by lack of talent, but by the inability to scale the recruiter’s capacity. That insight became the starting point for creating a system capable of replicating the structure, clarity and decision logic that define an effective recruiter.”

AINA combines AI interviewing, analytics, and an applicant tracking system into one smooth hiring process. It also features an AI Career Coach that helps candidates improve their interview skills.

For businesses, AINA automates repetitive early-stage tasks, screens candidates with more precision, and provides clear insights that help recruiters shortlist and schedule interviews faster. The company says its clients have saved over $600,000 in hiring costs and reduced time-to-hire by up to 80 per cent.

For candidates, AINA offers an AI Career Coach that helps build career paths, prepare for interviews, and practice real hiring scenarios. The goal is to make sure strong applicants are ready when they reach a human conversation.

Conducted more than 2,000 interviews

AINA says it has conducted more than 2,000 interviews and helped companies close over 300 roles. In these cases, every hire completed probation successfully, with no role terminations due to poor fit.

At the core of AINA is an AI recruiter designed to be fair, unbiased, and adaptive. Unlike scripted chatbots, it evaluates candidates in real time, adapts to unexpected responses, and maintains a human tone throughout the process.

On competition, Mikhnovets remarks, “There are a number of AI-powered hiring tools on the market, like Jack&Jill, Welcome to the Jungle, WizeHire, and hireEZ. However, AINA is the only integrated AI hiring platform that operates as an ecosystem and serves both businesses and candidates.”

What about diversity?

Mikhnovets concludes, “At AINA, we’re building the team intentionally, with diversity in mind from the start. We currently have 14 people, with an equal gender split — 7 women and 7 men.”
