AI excellence in healthcare: Twin Health snaps $50M to tackle lifestyle diseases like diabetes and more

Chronic metabolic diseases like diabetes, obesity and more are affecting 60% of Americans and is a growing concern globally. And this Silicon Valley-based startup believes that AI can solve the issue. Yes, we are talking about Twin Health, the creators of the Whole Body Digital Twin service – an AI-powered, personalised healthcare platform – and now they have secured $50 million in funding. 

The funding was led by Temasek (backed Zilingo, GetYourGuide, and Global Processing Services). Existing investors ICONIQ Growth, Sofina, Peak XV, and Helena also participated in this round.

With this funding, the company plans to expands its technology and clinical service solutions for more members across the US. 

Whole Body Digital Twin service

Founded in Jahangir Mohammed in 2018 in Mountain View, California, Twin Health empowers people to reverse and prevent chronic metabolic diseases, improve energy and physical health, and extend lifespan. The company introduced the Whole Body Digital Twin, a dynamic model of each individual’s unique metabolism. Powered by AI built from thousands of data points collected daily via wearable sensors, clinical lab parameters, and self-reported preferences. 

Through an easy-to-use app, the Whole Body Digital Twin provides members and their Twin Health licensed clinical care team individualised, precise, timely guidance across nutrition, sleep, activity and stress. Twin Health’s chronic metabolic disease solution is available today through Twin Health’s employer and health plan partners. 

Twin Health has expanded its reach with strategic partners in the employer and health plan domains, covering over 4 million lives.
