With cyber threats being everywhere, mid-sized companies are often overlooked. The reason behind this is simple: a lack of resources to respond rapidly (and efficiently), compared to large corporations. WiseBee directly addresses this persistent challenge.
Today, WiseBee secured $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Frontline Ventures and BrightCap Ventures. This makes it one of the largest pre-seed rounds from Central and Eastern Europe.
The raised funds will allow WiseBee to scale its AI-powered autonomous cyber defence platform, enhance integration capabilities, and expand its team globally.
When AI innovation meets cybersecurity expertise
WiseBee’s founders, Stoyan Stoyanov (CEO) and Taha Kazi (CDO), bring together expertise in cybersecurity and AI. Stoyan, a New York-based serial entrepreneur, previously led product at SecurityScorecard, helping the company scale past unicorn status and become a trusted platform for Fortune 500 security teams. London-based Taha complements this with AI and data engineering experience from SecurityScorecard, Deloitte, and Amazon, specialising in intelligent automation tools for security teams.
In an exclusive interview with TFN, Stoyan explains a gap in the market: “Cybersecurity today is broken for lean teams. Most tools generate thousands of alerts but leave teams scrambling to figure out what matters and how to fix it. That model simply doesn’t scale, especially for mid-sized companies that don’t have 24/7 SOCs or big security teams. We’re building an AI-powered cybersecurity OS that helps companies not just see risk, but fix it.”
He further explains, “WiseBee continuously monitors your company and your vendor ecosystem, detects meaningful threats, and generates real-time mitigation plans, many of which can be executed autonomously by our AI agents. It’s like hiring a virtual security team that works around the clock and gets smarter over time.”
How does WiseBee stand apart?
WiseBee’s platform is designed as a virtual cybersecurity team that operates continuously, learning and adapting to emerging threats. Its key technology differentiators include an AI-driven system that autonomously detects, prioritises, and remediates threats without manual intervention; deep integration of threat intelligence, attack surface monitoring, and vendor risk assessment into a unified platform; and automation that patches vulnerabilities, quarantines compromised endpoints, and updates firewall rules in real time.
With this approach, WiseBee can deliver enterprise-grade security tailored to mid-market organisations’ needs, thereby eliminating alert fatigue, reducing false positives, and speeding time-to-fix compared to legacy tools that rely heavily on human triage.
Building a community-driven cyber defence ecosystem
With the new funding, WiseBee will accelerate platform development, enhance autonomous capabilities, broaden integrations, and grow the global team, particularly in AI research and customer success.
Pilot programs are already underway with US government agencies, fintech unicorns, aerospace innovators, and regulated financial institutions across Europe. WiseBee also plans to deepen its presence in CEE, UK, DACH, and North American markets over the next three to five years.
The company is also laying the groundwork for its next funding round and cultivating a community-driven approach to cyber defence that empowers mid-sized organisations worldwide to secure themselves more proactively and efficiently.
Stoyan concludes: “We aim to deliver enterprise-grade, autonomous security that scales with every AI-powered agent deployed.”
