A polished product demo or onboarding video can make the difference between user confusion and adoption. Yet for many teams, turning a rough screen recording into something professional remains a significant challenge. The tools are clunky, the workflows are fragmented, and editing, often handled by multiple teams, can take hours or even days. For organisations under pressure to scale quickly, it’s a frustrating bottleneck.
San Francisco-based Trupeer, a video platform purpose-built for modern software and business workflows, is directly addressing this challenge. With a sharp focus on simplifying video creation, Trupeer has now raised $3 million in seed funding to accelerate its vision.
Behind Trupeer: Funding to fuel the next chapter of growth
The investment was led by RTP Global, with notable participation from Salesforce Ventures. The latter joined following Trupeer’s win at Salesforce’s AI Pitchfield, a competitive showcase of promising startups building next-generation tools for the enterprise. Also contributing to the round were over 20 angel investors, all of whom are current or former CIOs and CTOs at major Fortune 500 companies.
The funding marks a key milestone for the young company, enabling it to develop its products further and support its rapidly growing user base, which already includes more than 10,000 teams worldwide. From onboarding walkthroughs to internal how-tos, the company is helping organisations modernise the way they communicate knowledge.
A founding story rooted in real work
Trupeer’s origin story begins with a shared frustration. Co-founders Shivali Goyal and Pritish Gupta had spent years on opposite sides of the tech landscape. Shivali drives large digital transformation initiatives at BCG, and Pritish leads operations and customer-facing teams at fast-paced startups. But both kept running into the same problem: critical product knowledge was too hard to share and nearly impossible to scale efficiently.
The realisation came not in a lab or through trend-watching, but from lived experience. Whether it was explaining how a new tool worked to internal teams or preparing customer walkthroughs for product releases, they noticed that knowledge was often trapped inside recordings or siloed in slide decks and documents. Editing these into something digestible took too long. What they needed was a simpler, smarter way to turn everyday workflows into professional-grade videos without the handoffs or hassle.
That insight turned into months of deep customer research. The duo spoke with hundreds of SaaS founders, IT leaders, and customer success professionals, all of whom echoed the same pain point: there were tools for screen recording and tools for video editing, but nothing that brought them together in a way that fit the speed at which teams needed to move. And so, Trupeer was born.
What Trupeer does and why is it different?
At its core, Trupeer turns a raw screen recording into a clean, professional video in just seconds. The platform takes care of everything: it removes filler words, adds studio-quality voiceovers, applies intelligent zooms, tracks cursor movements, inserts subtitles, and even introduces a human-like avatar to narrate or walk viewers through the content.
But it’s more than just a visual tool. Alongside every video, Trupeer automatically generates step-by-step written documentation, complete with screenshots and summaries. This dual output—video plus written guide—gives teams exactly what they need to onboard users, train internal teams, or explain complex processes with clarity and speed.
One of Trupeer’s standout features is its ability to personalise content at scale. From a single video, users can generate multiple versions tailored to different audiences, languages, or branding styles. This kind of dynamic customisation is something traditional tools can’t easily offer. Teams can then share these videos instantly via public links or embed them into platforms like CRMs, help centres, or learning portals.
Most importantly, Trupeer was built from the ground up for business teams. Unlike legacy editors designed for filmmakers or general-purpose screen recorders, Trupeer aligns with the realities of working in fast-paced tech environments, where speed, clarity, and adaptability are everything.
What’s next?
While Trupeer began with screen recordings, its ambitions stretch well beyond that. The team is already developing methods to generate rich videos from static content, such as documents or slide decks. Integrations with commonly used tools, ranging from CRMs to employee onboarding platforms, are also on the horizon.
Longer term, the vision is ambitious: a system that becomes the shared brain of an organisation. One that doesn’t just help teams make videos, but captures and organises the collective knowledge, workflows, and processes that define how a company operates. The goal is to make that knowledge accessible and useful to anyone, anywhere, at any time, whether they’re onboarding on day one or looking up a process a year later.
“Software should be easy to explain. But until now, making good product videos meant spending hours editing or thousands of dollars on production,” said Shivali Goyal, CEO and co-founder of Trupeer. “We built Trupeer so anyone can turn a simple recording into a polished video that’s clear, searchable, and ready to scale, without needing any professional video skills.”
“Trupeer is reimagining content creation by turning what was once complex, costly, and manual into a fast, automated, and scalable process. From onboarding to support and training videos, they’re making high-quality product content accessible in minutes”, said Madhur Makkar, RTP Global. “We’ve been incredibly impressed by the positive feedback Trupeer has garnered from its users—they’re clearly building something that resonates with a passionate customer base. We’re excited to support Shivali and Pritish as they build a defining company in AI-powered content infrastructure.”
