Lawyers, meet your new AI-powered legal copilot! Milan-based startup Lexroom.ai just secured €2 million in seed funding to change how legal professionals work — forever. Led by Belgian VC firm Entourage Capital, the round also saw backing from Verve Ventures, Vento Ventures, Banyan Ventures, and X-Equity (advised by FNDX). And here’s the kicker — Airbnb’s former VP of Product, Joe Zadeh, is one of the angel investors! This round was followed by a €500,000 pre-seed round closed in 2024.

What’s the big deal?

Legal research can take hours, but Lexroom’s generative AI delivers instant, accurate answers, drafts contracts, and even helps write legal briefs — all in seconds. Think ChatGPT for lawyers — but on steroids.

Lexroom.ai plans to use the investment to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its customer base, and strengthen its presence in Southern Europe. It aims to scale its workforce to 35 employees by year-end, with over half focused on product development.

Who is behind the company?

Founded in 2023 by Paolo Fois, Martina Domenicali, and Andrea Lonza, Lexroom.ai was developed within Vento Ventures’ venture builder framework. The team brings deep expertise in AI, legal tech, and business scaling, helping the company stand out in a competitive market.

Since its launch, Lexroom.ai has achieved €1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) with a lean team of just 15 employees.

By partnering with top-tier law firms specialising in corporate, labour, and tax law, Lexroom.ai is integrating AI into legal workflows. Its partnerships include Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici for corporate law, Ichino Brugnatelli & Associati for labor law, and WST Law & Tax Firm for tax law.

With a growing user base of 1,500 legal professionals and nearly €1 million in annual recurring revenue, it is rapidly establishing itself as a key player in AI-driven legal services.

What’s next?

With AI rapidly transforming legal research, document drafting, and case management, the legal industry is seeing an explosion of investment. UK-based Luminance recently raised $75 million to expand its AI-powered document review platform, while London-based Lawhive secured $40 million to introduce its AI legal assistant to the US market. Now the BIG question: Will AI replace traditional legal research? Or is it the ultimate tool to enhance lawyers’ capabilities?

“Since our journey began at Vento Ventures’ venture originator in 2023, our vision has been to empower legal professionals by optimising their most valuable resource: time,” said Paolo Fois, Co-Founder & CEO of Lexroom.ai. “The arrival of investors like Entourage and Verve Ventures will allow us to grow our team and continue our dedication to service all professionals in the highly fragmented legal services market, aiming to become the go-to AI platform for law firms of all sizes.”

“Lexroom.ai is addressing a critical pain point for lawyers, rapidly becoming an indispensable tool for legal professionals,” said Pieterjan Bouten, founder and GP at Entourage. “The speed at which Lexroom is scaling and the product usage metrics are a testament to the urgent need for its solutions and the strength of its execution. We are thrilled to support Lexroom’s exponential growth and witness its transformative impact on the legal sector.”
