In the travel industry, the adoption of SaaS platforms has been hindered by the complexity and fragmentation of existing systems, making integration difficult and costly. However, London-based RezKit is changing the game with its SaaS booking platform that aims to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction. Recently, the company secured £250,000 in a seed round led by Jenson Funding Partners (backed Axioma, ZappedSkin and Sküma Water previously), positioning itself for growth and innovation.

Focus on connectivity and integration

One of RezKit’s standout features is its emphasis on connectivity. The platform seamlessly integrates with a range of third-party applications, including CRM systems, payment processors, and marketing platforms. This connectivity allows travel companies to create a seamless customer experience while improving overall efficiency. By breaking down the silos that have traditionally plagued the industry, RezKit enables travel businesses to harness the power of multiple tools and systems within a unified platform.

Bringing a Shopify-style approach to travel

RezKit aims to transform the travel industry by adopting a Shopify-like approach. Similar to how Shopify redefined e-commerce by simplifying the process of setting up an online store, RezKit simplifies the establishment of online booking systems for travel companies. Drawing inspiration from his extensive experience in the industry, Matt Illston, the creator and CEO of RezKit, utilized the downtime caused by the pandemic to develop the platform. Built on a set of APIs, RezKit enables third-party developers, travel business technical teams, and other SaaS providers to seamlessly integrate and enhance their offerings.

Building a marketplace of integrations

RezKit is not just a standalone platform; it is actively building a marketplace of integrations to provide travel firms with a wide range of tools and services. By partnering with product suppliers and flight providers, RezKit offers a menu of beneficial integrations that travel companies can choose from or even customize according to their specific needs. This approach empowers travel businesses to tailor their systems and workflows, enhancing their operational efficiency and unlocking new possibilities.

With its funding infusion, RezKit is set to expand its technical team and further develop its platform, aiming to transform the travel industry by streamlining processes, improving customer experiences, and enabling seamless connectivity. As the market evolves, RezKit’s innovative approach and commitment to integration position it as a game-changer in the travel technology landscape.

Matt Illston, Founder and CEO of RezKit, says, “The pandemic was incredibly tough for the whole travel industry. Rather than scale back operations to save money, we invested heavily in new and emerging technologies. The patience and hard work is finally beginning to pay off. In 2023, we have our first clients onboarded, more in the pipeline and new and exciting integrations being developed. The icing on the cake was when we secured funding through Jenson Funding Partners – this, along with our growing revenues from the system, will enable us to develop our brand and invest in extending the technical team further.”

Sarah Barber, CEO of Jenson Funding Partners, adds, “RezKit is working to modernise the software platforms that underpin the various systems that are utilised by the travel industry. The company stood out as it used the downtime of the pandemic to take a deeper look at the issue and develop a solution that brings the industry more in line with others that rely on SaaS platforms. It was clear that Matt and the team had the first-hand experience of working in travel over the last few decades and can help steer RezKit towards becoming a platform of choice for so many businesses in the industry.”
