Private-label products are rapidly growing in global retail. However, creating these products can be complex and slow. Teams have to manage scattered data, long supply chains, strict regulations, and increasing consumer demands for price, quality, sustainability, and health.
Keychain addresses these issues with its AI-driven platform, KeychainOS (also known as Keychain360), that consolidates product design, sourcing, compliance, and manufacturing oversight into a single, streamlined platform. This way, it enables end-to-end supply chain visibility and control, significantly reducing development timeframes. K
Keychain just secured $10 million in Series B funding, including capital from W23 Global, which is backed by major grocery retailers like Tesco, Ahold Delhaize, Woolworths Group, Empire Company Limited/Sobeys, and Shoprite.
This funding aims to accelerate KeychainOS’s deployment and further empower private-label retailers globally.
Bringing clarity and convenience to retailers
Keychain was founded by Oisin Hanrahan, who is known for founding Angi, a leading home-services platform. Drawing from his background in building scalable, user-centric marketplaces, Hanrahan identified the opportunity to transform the slow, fragmented private-label CPG manufacturing space.
“With speed and transparency increasingly shaping the market, KeychainOS for Retailers gives private label brands the advantage. Retailers can now manage their products end-to-end, innovate rapidly, and adapt to consumer preferences and regulatory changes, all within a single connected platform,” said Hanrahan.
Unlike PartnerSlate, Tradeshift, or Oracle, Keychain’s AI platform analyses extensive data on product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, sourcing logistics, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This matches brands and retailers with manufacturing partners that fit the exact criteria, reducing guesswork and delays.
Trusted by eight of the top ten U.S. retailers (including 7-Eleven and Whole Foods) and seven of the top ten global CPG brands (such as General Mills), Keychain supports over 30,000 manufacturers and 20,000 brands and retailers, demonstrating industry-wide acceptance and effectiveness.
What’s next?
With fresh capital, Keychain aims to expand its global network of manufacturers and brand partners while scaling KeychainOS’s capabilities. Planned innovations include enhanced AI-driven predictive analytics, greater responsiveness to market trends, and entry into new consumer goods sectors like beauty and personal care.
“Keychain’s AI-powered platform streamlines private label sourcing and enables retailers to bring quality private label products to customers faster and more efficiently. As consumer expectations around health, sustainability, and value continue to rise, Keychain’s solution helps retailers respond to these expectations effectively while ensuring compliance and product quality,” said Ingrid Maes, CEO and CIO of W23 Global.
