Berlin-based femtech startup Levy Health, which uses its software to decipher women’s fertility, has raised €2.5 million in seed funding. This round follows the angel investment it secured in early 2020.

The investment round was led by Atlantic Labs that invested in Decentriq, Wandelbots and others. It was accompanied by Austrian VC Calm Storm and a number of angel investors. Of these, there are nearly 60% women, including Lea von Bidder (AVA), Jenny Saft (OVIAVO), Hansi Hansmann and Marie-Sophie von Bibra (Readly).

The proceeds of this round will be used to further develop the product and expand the team with promising talent.

“We are very impressed by Caroline, Silvia and Theresa – there is hardly anyone who understands the perspectives of different stakeholders so well and combines them so strongly. We have been involved in the FemTech space for quite some time and have had very good experiences with companies like Clue and OVIAVO. In the male-dominated VC world, Women’s Health is a topic which has been underfunded until now but has huge potential,” said Christophe Maire, Founding Partner Atlantic Labs.

“We are proud that we can now help women who want to have children both decode their fertility and show them how to boost their chances of conceiving with the LEVY Fertility Code,” said Caroline Mitterdorfer, Co-Founder and CEO of LEVY Health. “Thank you to all our new and old partners for their support and for joining us on our mission to fight for better women’s healthcare.”

Helps decode fertility issues

As per Levy Health, every 7th couple struggles to conceive. Infertility is still taboo in today’s society and creates a massive emotional, physical and financial burden for those affected.

Despite the technological advancements in healthcare, access to experts and precise diagnostics is difficult. It often takes years for people dealing with infertility to find the right treatment.

This is where Levy Health comes with medical precision diagnostics and individualised therapy plans. The company revolutionises the way infertility is dealt with, helping people conceive and become parents.

Levy Health helps women who want to have children decode their fertility in the shortest possible time. It combines reproductive medical guidelines and expertise from fertility doctors into smart algorithms to decode women’s fertility.

Developed CE-compliant medical product

Founded by Theresa Vilsmaier, Silvia Hecher and Caroline Mitterdorfer, Levy Health is the first company in the world to develop a licensed medical product that analyzes female fertility disorders. It has developed CE-compliant software that helps women and couples find out why they have not been able to get pregnant yet.

The medical software company automates the diagnosis of fertility disorders through its CE-compliant medical product, Levy Fertility Code, based on clinical guidelines from the EU and US. It analyses patients based on 30 algorithms and provides a holistic treatment approach.

Based on the results, users are given personalised therapy recommendations.
Levy Health looks at each woman, her body and her situation individually, bringing holistic reproductive medicine straight to users’ homes.

The software combines in-depth knowledge of patients’ personal medical history and results from blood tests to create a number of different diagnoses, which are reviewed by reproductive physicians. Levy Health provides video consultation with one of their infertility doctors.
