Female-founded VC Anamcara launches $10.6M fund to invest in B2B companies across Europe

Anamcara, a London-based early-stage venture capital fund, has launched a $10.6M funds to invest in pre-seed and seed-stage companies across Europe.

Founded in 2021 by Annelie Ajami, a former venture partner at B&Y Venture Partners, and Operations Manager Aakriti Singh, Anamcara was launched with a mission to invest in exceptional founders building B2B companies.

Focus on B2B companies

The VC’s focus is on companies leveraging software and internet technologies to transform the capabilities, reach, efficiency, and long-term defensiveness of businesses, from SMB to Enterprise. 

The fund writes angel-sized tickets of approximately $200K, and has a strong thematic focus, leveraging a network of world-class B2B operators with the deep domain expertise to support the portfolio. 

The B2B operators include Philip Reynolds, the former VP of Engineering at Workday, Maria McMenamin, the former Head of B2B Sales at Stripe, and Namrata Ganatra, CTO at Autograph.

Anamcara aims to collaborate with founding teams that have unique domain insights, technical expertise, and product know-how, providing support and guidance on 

everything from syndication to new hires. 

Anamcara’s portfolio

The fund has already invested in eleven companies across Europe including

  • Bits Technology: Automation layer for open finance 
  • Equipme: B2B commerce and service management platform
  • Flexspace: Enterprise solution for on-demand workspaces
  • Helvengo: A digital insurance provider for small businesses.
  • Noloco: No-code/low-code platform to create internal tools, customer-facing apps, and custom software around existing data.
  • Nory: AI-driven restaurant management platform
  • Reveel: On-chain revenue management platform for creators
  • Salesform: Inbound lead routing platform 
  • Trumpet: Sales enablement platform that allows users to create personalized, trackable B2B sales environments
  • Viably: All-in-one funding, banking, and financial guidance platform for small businesses
  • Zavy: Employee enablement platform

Anamcara has co-invested alongside notable investors La Famiglia VC, Cherry Ventures (also backed The Exploration Company), Cavalry Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.
