The consumer electronics market is set to skyrocket, projected to reach a staggering $1.70 trillion by 2028. However, the wholesale trading process for these devices, particularly in emerging markets, remains heavily manual, resulting in inefficiencies and added cost burdens for buyers.

Eze: Driving innovation

Eze, a California-based startup, has emerged to transform the wholesale electronics marketplace. With a mission to connect buyers worldwide to both new and used smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other electronics, Eze has garnered attention and support.

Africa, Europe, and South America

In a recent funding round led by Right Side Capital Management, Eze raised $3.7 million in seed funding. The investment comes from a variety of notable backers, including C2 Ventures, Boro Capital, EVPI Investments, and other angel investors. This infusion of capital will be utilised to bolster Eze’s technology infrastructure, expand its product offering, and tap into new markets across Africa, Europe, and South America.

Josh Nzewi, CEO and co-founder of Eze, expressed enthusiasm about the investment and the company’s aspirations. He stated, “Our goal is to facilitate unrestricted access to consumer electronics worldwide, empowering users to harness the full potential of these devices. With the backing of our investors, we are eager to leverage this funding to enhance our platform and deliver even greater value to our customers. Our ultimate objective is to become the go-to hub for B2B buyers and sellers in the electronics industry, particularly in emerging markets. This investment brings us one step closer to realizing that vision.”

“We believe that Eze has the potential to revolutionise the wholesale electronics marketplace,” said Chris Cunningham of C2 Ventures. “Their platform is user-friendly, with integrations that enable an excellent buyer experience. We are excited to support them in their expansion journey.”

Eze: A global marketplace for used electronics

Co-founded in 2019 by Josh Nzewi and David Iya, Eze connects thousands of buyers worldwide to a vast selection of over 200,000 thoroughly vetted and tested SKUs.

Further, Eze offers buyers unparalleled advantages, including unbeatable wholesale prices, transparent product quality grading, payment options in local currencies, extended warranty coverage, and a range of services meticulously designed to facilitate effective and efficient trading. Sellers, too, gain access to a global network of qualified buyers, along with tailored services to enhance their sales efforts.

A growing international presence

Eze has cultivated a loyal customer base in over 50 countries worldwide. Among its satisfied customers are individuals and businesses hailing from the United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Mexico, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
