French startup OpsMill, which is building infrastructure data management software, has secured $14 million in Series A funding led by IRIS, with participation from BGV and existing investors Serena and Partech.
OpsMill was founded by Damien Garros and Karen Gallantry in Paris in 2023. Prior to this, Garros spent nearly two decades at companies, including Juniper Networks, Roblox, and Network to Code. During that time, he saw enterprises relying on disconnected spreadsheets, CMDBs, and scripts to manage increasingly complex infrastructure, creating risks ranging from failed deployments to costly outages.
The market for AI-driven IT operations is worth an estimated $220 billion, and demand for enterprise network automation has tripled since 2023, yet most companies are still trying to automate infrastructure built on data foundations that were never designed for it. OpsMill’s bet is that solving the data problem is the prerequisite for everything else.
“Automation is ultimately a data problem and if you only have a partial view of your network, you’re flying blind. Writing the code for automating infrastructure was never the problem, the challenge has always been maintaining it and being able to trust it in production. We built Infrahub so that infrastructure teams, and the AI agents working alongside them, always have a complete, trusted record of what exists, what’s supposed to exist and a way to safely change and evolve at scale,” says Garros.
OpsMill’s solution is Infrahub, a platform that transforms scattered infrastructure information into a single source of truth. Built on graph database technology, Infrahub maps relationships between physical, cloud, and virtual systems, giving engineers a clearer understanding of how infrastructure components interact before changes are deployed.
The platform also validates and governs configuration updates before deployment, helping companies reduce automation errors. This is especially critical in sectors such as financial services and manufacturing, where infrastructure mistakes can trigger compliance failures or operational disruptions.
Infrahub is available in a free, open-source Community edition and a licensed Enterprise edition, following a model similar to GitLab. The strategy has helped the company gain traction with major infrastructure operators, including TikTok.
Enterprise customers across retail, insurance, manufacturing, and fintech are also adopting the platform. European cloud services provider Eurofiber reportedly reduced deployment times from five days to just fifteen minutes after implementing Infrahub, company claims.
OpsMill competes with infrastructure automation and orchestration companies such as Itential, NetBox Labs, and Pulumi. While many rivals focus on orchestration and provisioning, OpsMill positions itself around infrastructure data quality, validation, and governance before automation takes place.
“The race to adopt AI in enterprise infrastructure is real, but most organisations are trying to build on foundations that were never designed for it. OpsMill is solving the problem that everyone else is working around: without clean, structured, trustworthy infrastructure data, AI-driven operations simply cannot function at scale. We believe OpsMill is building one of the most important pieces of software infrastructure for the next generation of enterprise technology,” says Julien-David Nitlech, managing partner, IRIS.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering and product teams while accelerating development of its infrastructure automation platform.
