Empowering career growth: CareerPaths secures $250K funding led by QVentures

London-headquartered CareerPaths, a career mentoring platform that connects users with qualified industry professionals for priceless career advice, has scored $250K in pre-seed funding. 

The investment round was led by a UK-based VC firm QVentures, which invested in AllotMe, and CloudNC), with participation from various angels, some of have taken on roles as business advisors at CareerPaths. With the funding, the CareerPaths team hopes their platform will be able to positively impact and transform users’ career trajectory.

Guy Ellis, co-founder of CareerPaths said, “We are absolutely delighted to have QVentures back us on our mission to help revolutionise how career advice is accessed and to improve social mobility across competitive industries around the world. The backing from QVentures will allow us to expand into new industries, additional geographies and to further develop the product to help accelerate the adoption of this new form of career mentoring.”

Seamless access to career mentors 

Founded by Guy Ellis and Saad Farooq in 2021 in London, CareerPaths is touted to be one of the world’s largest career mentoring platforms. It follows a structured approach to mentorship allowing mentors to pass along their invaluable experiences and insights and give back to their respective industry communities.

CareerPaths was developed to give users access to otherwise hard-to-find career mentors in competitive industries to help build and support their career development. The platform helps level the playing field for those looking to progress their careers by providing access to one-to-one mentoring across competitive industries such as technology, investment banking, M&A, private equity, venture capital, and strategy consulting.

Talking about the co-founders, Guy, previously at Goldman Sachs and Alcuin Capital Partners LLP, and a Partner at Rockpool Investments, has over 10 years of experience as a private equity investor. Saad has 12 years of management consultacy experience and is a co-founder of multiple startups, including ISHU and Winchit.
