Doctify, a London-based platform for patient reviews of health and social care, has announced to have secured $10M in a growth round led by transatlantic venture capital firm Beringea (that also backed Arctic Shores and Chattermill recently).

Existing investors, including Keen Venture Partners, Amadeus Capital Partners, and Guinness Ventures, also participated. The latest round brings the total funding raised to over £22M.

Already present in the UK, Austria, the UAE, Germany, the proceeds will be used by the British company to accelerate growth in key international markets, invest in the product, sales, and marketing, and expand the team.

Addressing transparency for healthcare reviews

The founders Stephanie Eltz and Suman Saha, who met as NHS surgeons, launched Doctify in 2015 to address the need for a trusted or transparent online platform for patient reviews. In a market dominated by review platforms such as Glassdoor and Trustpilot, Doctify is among the first healthcare review platforms. In addition, it helps patients schedule appointments.

Over 25,000 healthcare providers have been connected to the platform so far, including Cleveland Clinic, The Royal Marsden, HCA, The Mayo Clinic, and Priory Group. Further, since its inception, Doctify’s platform has been used by more than 50M patients and by 2025, it aims to enable more than 100M patients globally.

Stephanie Eltz, CEO and co-founder of Doctify, commented, “Our health is the most precious thing we have. With Doctify, we are working on building the world’s most important healthcare platform to help millions of patients. We are excited to welcome our new investors, Beringea, whom we first met years ago, and we are delighted with the support of our existing investors.”

Carrie Babcock, Investment Manager at Beringea, commented, “With referrals, we trust our GP or friends and family when that is just a single opinion. Many insurers make referrals to doctors who have the best rates. Doctify is solving the healthcare journey through patient reviews and publishing professional endorsements between doctors. Doctify is giving patients information about their providers that matters to them. It makes no sense that consumers remain in the dark about healthcare providers when they can find thousands of reviews for a holiday rental!

“As qualified surgeons who have undergone their health scares and challenges, Stephanie and Suman are powerhouses who acutely understand the needs of modern patients and would not accept the status quo. We are incredibly excited to enable Doctify to scale its vital product to millions more patients globally.”
