Paris-based startup Blify has secured $2.1 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate development of its Learning Operating System designed for modern workplaces.

The round was led by AFI Ventures, with participation from Kima Ventures, Better Angle and Fair Equity. The funding also drew support from more than 50 business angels, including founders and executives from companies such as Maki People, Alan, Doctolib, JobTeaser and ABB.

Blify plans to use the capital to expand its engineering team and speed up product development. After spending 2025 working closely with early users to refine its first use case, which is manager training.

The company is preparing to roll out a broader platform in 2026 that enables businesses to create, distribute and manage learning across entire organisations.

Why does corporate training rarely work?

Despite billions spent globally on employee development, corporate learning systems often struggle to deliver meaningful results. Traditional learning management systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms typically see only about 10% employee engagement per month.

The outcome is that training modules are ignored, newly acquired skills fade quickly, and HR departments continue investing in more platforms without measurable improvements in workforce capability.

Blify’s founders saw this problem repeatedly while working inside the HR technology sector. Their conclusion was simple, as the issue wasn’t the content. It was where and how learning happens.

Turning workplace chats into learning hubs

Rather than forcing employees to visit separate training portals, Blify embeds learning directly into the tools people already use every day. The platform integrates natively with communication apps such as Microsoft Teams, Slack and WhatsApp, allowing training to appear within the normal flow of work.

Behind the scenes, Blify’s multi-agent system analyses contextual information about each employee, their role, responsibilities and ongoing tasks, to deliver the most relevant knowledge at the right moment. Instead of scheduling training sessions, learning becomes a continuous, contextual part of daily activities.

The results so far have been striking. Around 50% of employees interact with Blify’s learning content every week, far higher than the typical engagement rates of traditional systems.

Surveys show that 95% of users say they would not return to older LMS-style platforms after experiencing learning integrated into their work tools.

A team built from Europe’s HR tech leaders

Blify was co-founded by 3 operators who’ve each spent years at the intersection of AI, enterprise sales, and workplace learning.

  • Minh Tu Hua: Co-Founder & CTO graduated from École Normale Supérieure and Imperial College London with a focus on AI and applied mathematics. He was one of the founding engineers at Alan, the French health insurance unicorn, where he led AI initiatives, including Doctor AI (Alan’s medical assistant) unveiled at the AI Summit 2025.
  • Tristan Vié: Co-Founder & co-CEO spent a decade as Chief Sales Officer at JobTeaser, where he scaled a sales org of nearly 100 reps across multiple European markets. He has deep fluency in HR audiences and brings a practitioner’s perspective to the product: he’s an active management trainer (at Yaniro and OnTrain) and the author of a book on management. He holds a degree from ENSAIA.
  • Clément Lhommeau: Co-Founder & co-CEO served as Chief Marketing Officer at 360Learning, one of the global leaders in LMS/LXP, driving its growth across Europe and the US. He later became CMO of Santé Académie, a specialised EdTech platform, and co-founded a sportstech startup, Helloways. Clément has been writing about the future of learning since 2014: he authored a book on MOOCs (FYP Editions) and a research report on AI in L&D. He also works as a trainer himself. He holds degrees from CELSA and Sciences Po Paris.

How was the idea born?

Clément Lhommeau. Co-CEO told TFN, “It was a collision of personal frustration and a glaring market failure. As trainers ourselves, we constantly hit a wall with traditional methods. The forgetting curve is incredibly steep, and providing hyper-personalised, one-on-one coaching to every single learner is just impossible to scale manually. We knew we had to kill the outdated ‘stop and learn’ model, where employees are forced to interrupt their workflow to consume content. But it wasn’t just our personal experience. From my previous executive roles in the LMS and LXP space, I knew the industry’s dirty secret: employee engagement is abysmal. Monthly active usage rates frequently hover below a ridiculously low 10 per cent.:

“Tristan and I didn’t want to just build based on our own assumptions, so we pressure-tested this. We conducted hundreds of discovery interviews across the US and Europe, speaking with CHROs, Heads of L&D, Sales VPs, and CEOs.

The consensus was unanimous: legacy systems are broken and engagement is dead,” he added. “Ultimately, the generative AI wave gave us the technological leverage to completely rethink the architecture of training software from the ground up. Blify represents this entirely new generation: instead of forcing people to a destination platform, we bring the learning directly into their daily flow of work.”

What about diversity?

As per the diversity statistics shared by Blify with TFN, “I’ll be completely transparent: our founding trio is all-male. But we recognised from day one that building a monolithic team is a huge blind spot, especially when you’re designing products for diverse, global workforces. Diversifying our core team wasn’t just a secondary ‘nice-to-have’ goal for us; it was an immediate priority. I’m incredibly proud to say that our Founding Engineer is a woman, Heloise Monnier. She is an exceptional software engineer who joined us from DropContact, and having her help lay our foundational architecture alongside Minh Tu has been phenomenal for Blify.”

Early recognition and global momentum

Since launching in 2025, Blify has quickly gained recognition across the European startup ecosystem. The company was selected for the Future40 programme at Station F, placing it among the top 4% of startups within the renowned innovation hub. It was also named one of the five most promising HR startups in Europe at the UNLEASH World 2025.

Blify already serves customers such as Club Med and Kaufman & Broad, which use the platform to train teams across multiple countries.

What sets Blify apart?

Detailing what sets it apart from other solutions in the market, Blify stated, “To combat the industry’s engagement crisis, Blify offers a radical departure from the status quo by integrating learning directly into the tools employees already use. Powered by a sophisticated multi-agent AI infrastructure, our proprietary Learning Operating System ingests contextual data to push the right knowledge to the right person at the exact right moment. What sets us apart rests on two pillars: native workflow integration and individualisation at scale.”

The company started, “Rather than forcing users onto siloed platforms, we deliver hyper-personalised training directly within apps like Microsoft Teams, Slack, and WhatsApp. Our AI continuously analyses each employee’s unique context (adapting to their role, needs, and skill level) to create a seamless learning experience that doesn’t disrupt their momentum. The results validate this approach: 50% of employees on Blify engage in training weekly, making it ten times more effective than legacy solutions, and 95% of users say they never want to return to a traditional Learning Management System.”

Plans for the next three to five years

This recent funding round will allow us to significantly accelerate our technology development and strategically build out our core product team. After dedicating 2025 to co-designing and tightly iterating on our initial use cases, we are entering a major scaling phase in 2026.

The company stated, ”We are currently rolling out a comprehensive, 100% AI-copiloted solution that allows organisations to seamlessly create, distribute, and manage training at an enterprise scale. Over the next three to five years, our objective is to establish Blify as the definitive AI-native learning ecosystem for modern businesses. We aim to be the end-to-end platform that organisations use to orchestrate all their training initiatives, pushing continuous digital learning directly into the daily flow of work. Ultimately, by completely removing the friction of traditional platforms, our long-term vision is to embed training so deeply into everyday routines that we empower every single employee to become a Superworker.”

“When I met the Blify team, I immediately knew they had truly understood our challenge of keeping learning at the heart of our employees’ day-to-day work,” says Sophie Letierce, Chief People & Operations Officer at Kaufman & Broad. “They are the best team to tackle skills development in a post-AI world. We have committed to a multi-year partnership with Blify.”

“As trainers, we’ve seen it firsthand: people learn, improve… then forget everything within weeks,” says Tristan Vié, co-CEO and co-founder of Blify. “LMS and LXP platforms barely hit 10% monthly engagement. The reason is simple — nobody wants to log into yet another platform to sit through a generic, one-hour course completely disconnected from their daily work.”

“The problem isn’t the content, it’s the model,” adds Clément Lhommeau, co-CEO and co-founder of Blify. “In a world where skills become obsolete fast and hiring is harder than ever, continuous learning is no longer optional — it’s a matter of survival.”

“With Blify, we’re exploring an ‘in the flow of work’ approach embedded in Teams. After an initial pilot, we are now expanding its use,” says Majid Kiani, Head of Learning & Development at Club Med. “Blify addresses a critical challenge for all companies: how to develop skills in the age of AI,” says Sarah Laznowski, investor at AFI Ventures. “The team combines an intimate understanding of HR challenges in Europe and North America with rare technological mastery. They are best positioned to build the training infrastructure of tomorrow.”
