Italy-based Bending Spoons has taken another major leap in its growth journey, raising $710 million in fresh equity at an $11 billion pre-money valuation. The investment was led by accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Investment Management, with strong backing from Baillie Gifford, Cox Enterprises, Durable Capital Partners, Fidelity, Foxhaven, and Radcliff.
The round includes $270 million in primary capital and $440 million in secondary, reflecting deep investor conviction in the company’s direction.
Capital to fuel ambitious growth
Just weeks before this equity round, Bending Spoons secured a $2.8 billion debt package from top global banks, giving it one of the largest combined capital raises in Europe’s tech landscape this year. This financing gives the company significant firepower to push deeper into next-generation technologies, strengthen its infrastructure, and enhance its consumer and enterprise product lines.
The capital also enables a renewed acquisition push. In the last two months, Bending Spoons has signed agreements to acquire AOL and Vimeo, both pending regulatory and shareholder approval. These planned additions follow the company’s established strategy of acquiring digital platforms with strong brand equity and repositioning them for modern audience needs.
A portfolio with massive reach
Bending Spoons has built a reputation for transforming established digital businesses into high-performing global products. Its portfolio includes widely used platforms such as Brightcove, Evernote, komoot, Meetup, Remini, StreamYard, and WeTransfer. Collectively, its services have reached over one billion people, with 300 million monthly active users and 10 million paying customers, including most Fortune 500 companies.
This scale gives Bending Spoons a unique advantage: deep insight into digital behaviour across consumer and enterprise audiences. With its fresh capital, the company aims to strengthen the technologies behind these platforms and extend their impact in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
