Curvo, a fintech app based in Belgium, has completed its seed round with €500K. The investment round was led by BeAngels and a series of experienced investors, including Brice Le Blevennec (Emakina), Olivier Verdin (AppTweak), Sabba Keynejad (Veed), and Nicolas Hulsmans (Dexerto). InvestSud also completed the seed round.

The company will use the investment for its European expansion and to further enhance its offering to its customers.

Thomas Ketchell, co-founder of Curvo, said: “Our vision is to transform the way people engage with their finances and think about their future, and we’re delighted that our new business angels are joining us on our journey. Thanks to this seed round investment, we’ll be able to reach even more people in Belgium and beyond, providing the tools they need to achieve their own financial wellbeing. This is a hugely exciting day!”

Brice Le Blevennec, investor (Emakina), added: “Curvo’s innovative service is disrupting traditional offerings in the personal finance sector in Belgium, and I’m excited about the opportunities for growth across the EU. I’m delighted to be supporting at an early stage and look forward to working with Thomas, Yoran and the other angel investors to help  Curvo to fulfil its huge potential.”

Redefines investing for the next-gen

Co-founded by Thomas Ketchell and Yoran Brondsema in 2021, Curvo is an investment app that improves the financial well-being of the next generation of Europeans through the power of index investing. A young European can create an account in a few minutes and invest in a diversified portfolio of index funds that is tailored to their goals and personality. It takes care of investing starting from €50 and is accessible to anyone.

Curvo serves as a complementary option to traditional Belgian pension schemes and offers an alternative to retail investment options offered by mainstream banks, which are often costly, inflexible, and plagued by subpar customer service.

Since its launch, Curvo has gained significant recognition for its simplicity, integration with the e-ID service, and straightforward portfolio choices. With over €3 million already invested, it has emerged as one of Belgium’s fastest-growing investment platforms, empowering more than 1,250 individuals to take charge of their financial journey by facilitating effortless long-term saving and investing.
