Secret Spa headquartered in London is an at-home beauty and wellness, service trailblazer. As convenient and safe beauty treatments have gained momentum in recent times, the company has secured £1.5 million in funding.

UK expansion plans

Love Ventures, a London-based VC that invests in early-stage UK companies, led the round in Secret Spa along with a stellar group of angel investors including Sarah Willingham (Dragon’s Den) and Stephen Morana (CFO at Cazoo) among others.

As the remote working trend is here to prevail for the foreseeable future during the pandemic, Secret Spa witnessed a rapid growth in 2021. Taking this success to the next step, the home beauty and wellness startup will use the proceeds of its round to support the rollout of this platform across further UK cities and in their first international city as well.

Rider Latham, CEO & Co-Founder at Secret Spa commented, “Despite better-funded competition and forced closures, our revenue has tripled since before the pandemic and we have emerged as the market leader in at-home beauty. This round enables us to further invest in the keys to that success: our world-class team, industry-leading software platform, and established playbook for launching in new cities.”

Adrian Love, Co-Founder and Partner at Love Ventures commented: “Secret Spa Co-Founders, Rider and Emily, are building a distinct proposition in personal care services that solves major pain points for consumers and service providers by offering seamless bookings at home. We are delighted to support them as they continue to build the UK’s most trusted, recognised, fastest growing, and capital-efficient at-home beauty and wellness platform. This growth funding round will allow the team to establish UK dominance and begin international expansion.”

Jules Pancholi, Venture Advisor at Love Ventures added, “Rider is incredibly passionate and has a very clear vision as CEO and Co-Founder, which makes for a strong combination alongside Secret Spa’s value proposition. We’re excited to get behind the leadership team as part of this round so they can continue with their successful rollout across new cities.”
