Golnaz is a deeptech investor with APEX Ventures, the European early stage deep-tech VC, where she focuses on medical and health-tech sectors.
Golnaz combines a decade of scientific research with a decade of experience across the venture ecosystem from angel investment to fund of fund and LP investing. From 2020 to 2025, she built and led PwC Germany's Corporate Venture Capital, enabling 25 portfolio investments. Prior to that, she worked with Ventac Partners, building biotech companies in Nordics, and has been an investment advisor to multi-family office GEX Ventures.
Golnaz holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, followed by postdoctoral research in neuroscience. She has also completed an executive MBA from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. She is a two-time winner of the Global Corporate Venturing Emerging Leader Award (2023 & 2024) and a Guest Lecturer at Cambridge Judge Business School in Venture Capital.
