With only about 5% of organisations automating more than 60% of their procurement, Zinit, an AI-native sourcing platform, addresses the heavy inefficiencies and paperwork delays by providing AI-assisted negotiation engines and autonomous sourcing capabilities.

Their platform promises a reduction in procurement cycle times by up to 40% and cost savings up to 30%, backed by a money-back guarantee, making it a compelling solution in an industry facing increasing regulatory pressure for transparency, especially with MSME payment deadlines now legally enforced within 45 days.

Today, Zinit raised $8 million in a seed funding round led by AltaIR Capital at a $48 million valuation, aiming to transform the traditionally manual and opaque procurement processes prevalent in Indian enterprise operations.

Replacing outdated procurement tools with AI workflows

Anton Buzdalin and Andrey Chernogorov co-founded the company. Both founders drew on their prior experience with Bidzaar, which successfully handled $15 billion in GMV and built a supplier network, applying those learnings to emerging markets with greater tail spend challenges.

Zinit’s technology combines AI-assisted supplier discovery, real-time bidding, and multi-round negotiation orchestration within a “procurement-as-a-service” SaaS platform that requires no complex integrations. Its major USPs include an open supplier ecosystem of over 25 million suppliers, a success-fee pricing model guaranteeing cost savings or refunds, and workflow automation that reduces sourcing cycle times by up to 80%.

Founders explained to TFN, “Zinit covers all procurement categories for maximum impact. For core spend, it accelerates sourcing with AI, delivers complete transparency, rapid integration, and advanced analytics that empower organisations to make competitive, data-driven decisions. For non-critical indirect spend , Zinit stands out with autonomous sourcing.”

“According to our case studies from over 200 customers globally, this approach cuts procurement cycles by up to 40% and delivers 15–30% savings – all without the long, costly IT implementations required by most legacy suites,” they added.

Unlike legacy competitors such as SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement Cloud, which often target large enterprises with bulky suites focused on core spend, Zinit is laser-focused on tail spend, a segment usually neglected by competitors.

What about diversity?

On diversity, founders told TFN, “Zinit’s team is truly global, spanning five countries and representing a mix of over ten nationalities across all major functions. More than half of our employees work outside the company’s headquarters region, with teams active in India, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

The leadership group is just as international – and includes regional heads for India, Latin America, and the United States, who bring experience from market-leading firms like EY, GEP, Ivalua, Accenture, and McKinsey. Zinit’s executive roster also demonstrates a commitment to gender diversity, with women represented in both commercial and technical leadership roles. Together, the company’s staff highlights a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, making diversity and inclusion a genuine part of Zinit’s operating philosophy.”

What’s next?

Zinit plans to further enhance its AI negotiation engines and autonomous sourcing platform, accelerate product innovation, and deepen its market presence in India, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the US.

The company will continue investing substantially in emerging markets where procurement is still largely manual, aiming to create an open, transparent procurement ecosystem globally and seeking to complete a Series A funding round to support this growth trajectory.
