Traditional cleaning solutions are harsh, dangerous to one’s health, and destructive to the environment. Intelligent fluids wants to change that and it has created unique water-based, non-toxic, and biodegradable technology.
The Germany-based deeptech startup raised €10M in Series B funding led by Wave Equity Partners, with participation from existing institutional investors, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and IBG Sachsen-Anhalt.
The capital will be used to expand the team, enhance manufacturing capacity at its German plant, and begin worldwide market expansion by establishing manufacturing companies in the United States, India, the Middle East, and Taiwan.

Intelligent Fluids, founded in 2017 by CEO Christian Römlein, has developed cleaning technology for industrial applications ranging from oil and gas to LED displays, adhesive removal to microelectronics. Intelligent fluid cleaners, manufactured with non-toxic and skin-friendly components, combine efficiency and environmental safety for professional use in manufacturing, trade, crafts, and residences.
