The recent global energy crisis has disrupted lives and businesses, highlighting the urgency to back innovative energy startups aiming for a positive change. Several startups work towards realising green energy and myenergi, Innova, and Modo Energy among them raised funding in recent months.

Now, Zug-based green energy startup Plan-B Net Zero and its subsidiary Mühlheim am Main working towards promoting renewable energy worldwide and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future, has raised a Series A investment. The Swiss startup has netted €9.2 million led by Yamato Capital AG from Switzerland alongside the participation of its community from the outset.

This funding round marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to promote sustainable energy sources and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. With this investment, the startup plans to accelerate its expansion plans by growing its team, forging new partnerships and strengthening its presence nationally and internationally.

Develops sustainable energy solutions

Founded in 2021 by Bradley Mundt, PLAN-B NET ZERO develops and implements sustainable energy solutions. The company focuses on all forms of renewable energy generation, starting with photovoltaics. In the future, it will also focus on wind energy and biomass. The first hydrogen projects are also to be launched shortly.

It provides a full range of services to consumers, whether they are industrial, trade, or private consumers. These services range from the planning, construction, financing, and operation of facilities to energy storage solutions, charging infrastructure, and heat pump solutions through its smart management software.

“This financing round underlines the growing demand for sustainable solutions and demonstrates our investors’ commitment to an environmentally friendly future. We are very pleased with this vote of confidence,” says Bradley Mundt, founder and Head of Strategy of PLAN-B NET ZERO. According to Mundt, PLAN-B NET ZERO has set itself the goal of being the first greentech company to serve the entire value chain in the renewable energy sector, from project development, construction and plant operation to the marketing of the electricity generated.
