Data privacy is becoming increasingly critical in the software systems being deployed. Kertos, a Munich-headquartered data privacy automation startup that helps companies follow privacy laws and rules easily, has €4 million seed round led by Redstone/VR Venturesfrom Berlin with the participation of Pi Labs (London), seed + speed ventures (Berlin). Also, existing investors 10x Founders, xdeck, and Superlyst doubled down on their initial investments only 10 months after the pre seed round.
Last year, Kertos also raised €1M for its data privacy automation to ramp up the growth pace.
Using a simple system and automated processes, the German startup ensures that data privacy regulations are followed. As a result, companies can focus on their business while protecting people’s privacy at the same time.

With the additional funding, Kertos can continue to develop their technology platform, expand their product line, and expand their customer base. To further establish their influence in the industry, Kertos is entering into new partnerships and collaborations as well.

The company was founded by Kilian Schmidt, Johannes Hussak, and Alexander Prams in November 2021. Among the first true data privacy automation products in Europe, it is a leading privacy technology of the future.
