Lucid Lane raises $16M Series A to help people living with medication dependence

Lucid Lane, the telehealth from California, recently grabbed a $16 million Series A funding round. Accel led the investment. Participated investors included Battery Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Morado Ventures, along strategic angel investors.

The startup also announced its analytics engine that delivers real-time and customised, context-sensitive treatment along with the announcements.

Several patients in America are prescribe opioids and benzodiazepines to relieve physical pain and mental health difficulties.

The problem is extensive and complicated. However, at its core is the need to consistently consolidate medical, behavioral, and motivational care to obtain patient freedom from dependency or addiction. Dejectedly, the modern medical system is not set up properly to deliver an integrated type of care.

Patients, doctors, and payers are all sad with the current results. Yet doctors are especially cleft in the centre. As a result, patients with illnesses require more medicines from their doctors, and governors and insurance companies compel them to prescribe less drugs.
