LiveEO, a Berlin startup that develops software and AI that turn satellite images into useful risk intelligence, has raised more than €28 million in its first closing to grow its AI- and satellite-powered infrastructure-monitoring platform
Helantic, b2venture, and the European Innovation Council join as new investors, with continued backing from NordicNinja, DTCF, Matterwave Ventures, MMC Ventures, Segenia Capital, and Greencode Ventures.
TFN has followed LiveEO’s journey from its €19 million Series A in 2022 to its €25 million Series B in 2024. The company’s total disclosed funding now exceeds €72 million.
LiveEO was founded in 2018 by Daniel Seidel and Sven Przywarra to tackle a growing problem. Much of the critical infrastructure in Europe and North America was built for different climate conditions. As extreme weather becomes more common, vegetation spreads into power corridors, and ground shifts more quickly near rail lines. Manual inspections are no longer enough.
The company’s satellite and AI technology, originally used for infrastructure monitoring, can also support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, border monitoring, and the protection of critical infrastructure.
LiveEO’s platform now monitors over 1 million miles of infrastructure across five continents, providing operators with ongoing, AI risk assessments.
LiveEO’s edge increases this year with Twinspector, its own satellite constellation announced earlier in 2026. Twinspector is built for infrastructure monitoring and can deliver stereo images with up to 35 cm resolution. This gives LiveEO complete control from collecting data to delivering insights to customers.
Unlike competitors such as Satellogic, Palantir’s AIP for defence geospatial work, and Planet Labs, LiveEO does not depend on external satellite operators. This removes supply chain risks and reduces margin pressure.
The new funding will help LiveEO strengthen its civil infrastructure business, including wildfire prevention, vegetation management, and pipeline monitoring. It will also support the company’s expansion in security and help grow the Twinspector constellation.
