Germany’s startup ecosystem has grown remarkably over the last two decades, helped by a supportive regulatory environment, access to capital and an academic structure and culture that encourage entrepreneurialism. We have seen many German startups bagging investments, including Milano Vice, Banxware, TRAVIT, and FarmInsect among others.

Now, randevu.tech, a Berlin/Belgrade-based tech startup transforming the way enterprises build and scale B2B marketplaces and digital platforms, has picked up €325K in pre-seed funding.

The investment round was led by ICT Hub Venture, a Belgrade-based early-stage investment group focused on building technology-enabled companies with global potential. Also, TS Ventures Fund focused on supporting innovative technology and business solutions and Earlybird VC’s Vision Lab also joined forces in the round.

Investment plans ahead

In a conversation with TFN, randevu.tech stated that they will use the funds to extend the runway and acquire more customers. Talking about future plans, the team is also looking to raise a seed round in early 2024 to reinforce their business and sales teams, as well as to increase the development team’s capacity. This will enable them to accelerate their product development and support more customers.

Brainchild of diverse founders

randevu.tech was founded in 2021 in Berlin by Aleksandar Orlić, a co-founder and CTO of Penta, which was acquired by Qonto, and Filip Perisic, who built and ran a marketplace business himself, built tech that enables SAP’s B2B marketplace business. Later, they met Shuhrat Ashurov through Antler as they were looking for a commercial co-founder.

Filip migrated to Germany over 10 years ago to play volleyball professionally. Aleks moved to Chile over 25 years ago and built up his consulting business there. He was looking for a new adventure and that is when he moved to Berlin 13 years ago. Following his exit from Penta he decided to stay in Berlin and start another tech startup. Shuhrat is originally from Tajikistan but studied and lived in the US. Over 10 years ago he received a German government scholarship to get his Master’s degree in Germany.

Currently, the team has six full-time employees, mainly based in Berlin and some freelancers and tech partners.
