Sofia-based EnduroSat has secured $104 million in new funding, marking one of the largest boosts for Europe’s growing space sector. The round was backed by Riot Ventures, Google Ventures, Lux Capital, the European Innovation Council Fund, and Shrug Capital.
With the new investment, EnduroSat plans to expand production further to support large constellation operators. The company aims to speed up time-to-orbit by manufacturing up to two ESPA-class satellites per day.
New space centre in Sofia
The funding coincides with the opening of EnduroSat’s new Space Centre in Sofia. Spread across 188,340 square feet, the facility significantly boosts the company’s ability to meet rising global demand for small- and mid-sized satellite constellations.
The centre includes advanced RF labs, hardware and mechanical labs, ISO-certified clean rooms, and full space qualification facilities. This integrated setup lets the team move quickly from design to testing to ready-for-orbit stages.
This expansion helps solve a major industry bottleneck of long manufacturing timelines. Faster builds and reliable delivery schedules give EnduroSat an edge as customers look for quicker and more cost-efficient deployment options.
Building faster access to space
EnduroSat’s growth mirrors a larger shift in the industry. Space is becoming more open to organisations of all sizes, not just traditional agencies and major corporations. As demand for satellites increases, companies with scalable infrastructure will set the pace for the next decade of orbital innovation.
Founded by Raycho Raychev in 2015 in Bulgaria, the company designs, builds, and operates CubeSats and Nanosatellites for commercial and scientific missions and is developing inter-satellite linking and data applications. The company focuses on making space more accessible. Its team designs, builds, and operates advanced small satellites and modular systems that help customers deploy missions with speed and efficiency. By combining hardware, software, and mission operations, EnduroSat has positioned itself as a reliable partner for organisations aiming to scale their space presence.
What’s next?
With its new funding, advanced Space Centre, and expanding customer base, EnduroSat is strengthening its role in shaping the future of space access, bringing faster, more affordable missions within reach.
Raycho Raychev, EnduroSat CEO and founder, said: “This latest investment, combined with the launch of our new Space Centre, marks a pivotal moment. It not only validates our strong market traction but significantly accelerates our ability to deliver highly capable, cost-effective satellite constellations at an unprecedented scale, moving us closer to a future where space data will become universally accessible and instantly available.”
