Behavioural health providers across the US are struggling with outdated software. Most clinics use separate systems for admissions, patient records, and billing. Staff often switch between multiple platforms, leading to delays, errors, and heavy administrative work.

New York-based Ease Health says it wants to fix that. The company has come out of stealth and announced a $41 million Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The startup is building what it calls an AI-native operating system designed specifically for behavioural health providers.

The new funding will be used to expand product and engineering teams, improve AI automation features, and grow the company’s presence with larger enterprise providers.

Building an operating system for behavioural health

Led by Zach Cohen, Ease combines CRM (customer relationship management), EHR (electronic health records), and RCM (revenue cycle management) into a single platform specifically for behavioural health providers.

The platform unifies admissions, clinical care, and billing into a single system designed to reduce administrative burden, improve clinician experience, and materially improve provider economics.

Ease supports providers across all levels of behavioural health care and partners with organisations nationwide to modernise behavioural health operations.

“Behavioural health providers don’t need more point solutions, they need a system that actually runs their business,” said Zach Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of Ease Health. “We built Ease to be the operating system for behavioural health: one patient record, one workflow, and one source of truth, with AI doing the work that used to require entire teams. This funding allows us to accelerate that vision and scale it nationally.”

The company says its billing tools are trained on millions of behavioural health claims to improve speed and reduce errors. The goal is to reduce labour costs while helping clinics operate more efficiently.

Supporting all levels of care

Ease works with a wide range of behavioural health providers. This includes outpatient clinics, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalisation programs (PHP), residential treatment centres, detox facilities, inpatient psychiatry units, and medication-assisted treatment programs.

The company serves both small independent practices and large multi-location provider groups across the United States.

“Consolidating into a single platform transformed our operations,” stated Alex Hoffman, L.A.P.C., Owner of Christian Counselling Associates. “The direct handoff from clinical documentation to properly configured billing has improved accuracy and enabled us to scale our volume without adding administrative strain. Ease’s platform is a game changer for behavioural health clinics.”

Ease says its customers have already seen lower spending on third-party software, faster admissions, better documentation efficiency, and stronger collections performance.

“At a time when demand for behavioural health care is accelerating, providers are constrained by software that was never designed for their reality,” said Daisy Wolf, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. “Ease is re-architecting the behavioural health technology stack around automation, intelligence, and real operational leverage. We’re excited to back a team that is building infrastructure that directly improves provider sustainability and patient access.”
