While banking and financial services have rapidly digitalised, tax services remain outdated, manual, and costly, creating inefficiencies for both individuals and enterprises.
Berlin-based startup AnyTax, founded in 2024 by Moritz Kuder, Yash Gadiya, and Kirill Luzhnov, addresses this gap by building API-first, embedded tax infrastructure that allows banks, fintechs, and financial advisors to offer seamless digital tax services integrated directly into their platforms.
The company has raised €1 million in pre-seed funding backed by IBB Ventures, Heartfelt, BLACKVRST Equity, and industry angels, including executives from N26 and sevDesk.
With this new funding, AnyTax plans to expand its product suite and partner with more financial institutions across Europe. The goal is to make digital tax capabilities as easy to integrate as payment processing.
Bringing tax services into the digital era
Founded in 2024, AnyTax’s leadership combines deep expertise in tax, fintech, and technology. They recognise that while financial services have modernised for real-time use, tax remains manual and fragmented, creating a glaring service gap.
Gadiya tells TFN, “I have seen how tax and accounting are still stuck where they were a decade ago from his time working in this space. Moritz grew up with both parents as accountants and witnessed the frustrations with inefficiencies in the system his entire life. And as individuals living and paying taxes in Germany ourselves, we experience this broken process first-hand every year.
That personal frustration aligned with a clear market gap: while banking, payments, and investing have all become digital and real-time, tax remains disconnected, opaque, and manual. Financial platforms already hold the data to solve this problem, but lack the capacity or expertise to build these solutions. We started AnyTax to bridge that gap – turning tax from a painful chore into a seamless & automated product layer inside the financial apps people already use.”
The founders’ mission is to make tax effortless, transparent, and seamlessly embedded within financial products, empowering platforms to offer automated, real-time tax management to their users without leaving the app. For example, a digital bank could use AnyTax to automatically generate tax reports or estimate returns in real-time, using the financial data it already holds.
Unlike traditional tax software or isolated services, like Taxfix, Taxdoo, or Sovos, AnyTax provides “tax-as-a-service” embedded directly into financial platforms, opening a new product vertical. Its compliance focus and integration set it apart from fragmented legacy solutions and standalone tax software.
Gadiya elaborates, “Our approach is different: we go beyond tax filing by enabling real-time tax planning and optimisation – something that’s never really existed for everyday users. By connecting directly to users’ financial data through partner platforms, we make it possible to offer intelligent, proactive tax services embedded right where people already manage their finances.”
The platform is GDPR-compliant, modular, and built specifically for Europe’s financial ecosystem, where data protection and compliance are critical.
What’s next?
The new funding will scale AnyTax’s product suite and accelerate partnerships with financial institutions across Europe. Its goal is to standardise embedded tax services within digital financial platforms, making tax processes simple, automated, and comprehensible.
Gadiya concludes, “We’re focused on expanding our tax infrastructure and portfolio of embeddable tax solutions through partnerships with leading financial platforms in Germany.”
