Vercel, the company powering Next.js, v0, and the AI Cloud, has raised a $300 million oversubscribed Series F round at a $9.3 billion valuation. The raise, co-led by Accel and GIC, also included BlackRock, StepStone, Khosla Ventures, Schroders, Adams Street Partners, and General Catalyst, with existing backers like GV, Salesforce Ventures, and Tiger Global participating. A $300 million secondary tender offer for employees, alumni, and early investors is set to close in November.

The company’s core appeal lies in building AI-native infrastructure that simplifies how developers and enterprises deploy intelligent applications. Its platform is already used by innovators like Anthropic and OpenAI, alongside global brands such as PayPal, Square, WPP, and Nike. With user growth doubling and revenues up 82% year-on-year, Vercel is cementing itself as a central hub for modern AI development.

Expanding v0 and mobile-first development

The funding will accelerate the growth of Vercel’s AI Cloud platform, combining enterprise-grade security with exceptional developer experience for teams building intelligent applications. A major focus of the new funding will be v0, Vercel’s AI development agent that turns natural language prompts into full-stack applications. Having reached 3.5 million unique users, v0 is increasingly embraced by enterprises, with Teams and Enterprise accounts contributing more than half of its revenue. To support broader adoption, Vercel will expand infrastructure and enterprise-grade security for v0 and the wider AI Cloud.

Recognising how developers ideate beyond traditional office hours, Vercel has launched v0 Mobile in public beta. The app allows coding through voice and camera inputs, syncing with ongoing v0 chats and sending push notifications once builds are complete. With over 10,000 users on the waitlist, the mobile rollout signals a shift towards real-time, mobile-first development, enabling builders to act on ideas as soon as they arise.

Strengthens security and enterprise capabilities

As “vibecoding” gains momentum in 2025, enterprises are increasingly concerned with securing AI-driven workflows. Vercel, founded by Guillermo Rauch, has positioned itself as a trusted provider by integrating security at every level, protecting against untrusted code, managing AI pipelines, and defending against emerging threats. Its AI Gateway, AI Sandbox, and widely adopted AI SDK (3 million weekly downloads) are strengthening the company’s role in helping organisations adopt AI safely and at scale.

The AI Cloud continues to attract both emerging startups like Browserbase, Granola, and Luma, and established players such as AT&T, Hulu, Target, and Walmart. At the same time, Next.js remains the open-source framework of choice for frontend teams worldwide, further binding Vercel’s ecosystem to both AI-native and traditional web development.

What’s ahead?

Vercel’s latest funding underscores how central it has become to the AI-native web. By combining a thriving developer ecosystem, strong enterprise adoption, and a secure foundation for application building, the company is poised to lead the next era of intelligent software development.

Leadership expansion is also playing a role in shaping Vercel’s trajectory. Recent hires include Jeanne Grosser, former Stripe executive, as COO; Keith Messick from Redis as CMO; Aparna Sinha from Capital One as SVP of Product; Werner Schwock from HashiCorp as CAO; and Talha Tariq, joining from IBM, as CTO of Security. This experienced team is tasked with scaling operations as demand for AI-native infrastructure accelerates.

“For a decade, Vercel has been the go-to platform for web development, and as AI transforms applications, we’ve evolved our infrastructure to match,” said Guillermo Rauch, CEO and founder of Vercel. “The AI Cloud enables organisations to build at the speed of ideas, and this investment accelerates our ability to provide the secure, scalable foundation enterprises need as AI agents become integral to their workflows.”

“Vercel changed how developers work, and now v0 is extending that transformation to every corner of the enterprise,” said Dan Levine, partner at Accel. “We’ve believed since day one that Vercel’s relentless focus on security, performance, and design excellence positions them to define the future of how work gets done.”
