2022 has been roaring with the success of the crypto firms, whether it be the biggest valued funding rounds or a new rage of crypto billionaires making waves everywhere.
Now the news is in that Blockhain.com, a London-based firm that offers a platform to buy, hold, and use cryptocurrency has reportedly raised new financing in a recent funding round.
As per numerous reports, an undisclosed amount in funding has been received by the UK firm from global VCs, and the round was led by Lightspeed Ventures and Baillie Gifford & Co.
Baillie Gifford is a leading 110-year-old asset management firm and also early investors in some of the largest tech giants including Tesla, Google, Amazon, Airbnb, and more.
With the new investment, the company will reach a valuation of $14 billion — which vaults Blockchain.com into the ranks of the most valuable crypto companies.
Founded by Benjamin Reeves, Nicolas Cary, and Peter Smith in 2011, Blockchain.com last raised $300 million at a $5.2 billion valuation in a round that included Lightspeed and VY Capital in March 2021.
Further, the company has 37 million verified users with 82 million wallets created, and more than $1 trillion transacted, according to its website.
